Looks too easy for the rookie, He struggled more in NCAA than in the NBA.

people need to calm down a little bit. It's just preseason. Let's see how he does in the regular season and the playoffs. Has he hit a midrange shot yet? No. Can he shoot the 3 consistently? No.

In the playoffs, teams figure out how to stop freak athletes like Ben Simmons and Giannis from driving to the hoop. What makes you think they won't do the same for Zion and he's only 6'6'' compared to other 2

The game's been too easy for LeBron his whole career.

Hung players make shit look easy. Unhung players like Curry struggle on the big stage.

Is what it is.

Yet, you made a thread about YDK being the worst player in the game based on a few minutes of preseason? :yaohappy:

Keep melting down babyboi.

Especially when the starters go to the bench and he's playing against guys that aren't going to make the cut.:lol

Definitely

I thought this was very obvious, there's so much evidence that supports that it is easier to score in the modern NBA then it is in many other professional basketball leagues. You can easily tell just by watching a couple possessions that the pace of play along with the freedom of movement in the NBA makes scoring much easier as long as you have the right team around 1 piece that has an all world skill offensively.

Everything supports this

The semi NBA all-star team losing to G Leaguers who can't make rosters, t same team losing to third world countries this past Olympics, Steph getting balled up by randoms in the hood, Draymond losing to Kevin Hart in an NBA range 3 point shootout, etc

Notice how a mixture of actually being placed in an uncomfortable unfamiliar environment, mixed with a reintroduction to defenders who actually WANT to stop you instead of just make it out the game healthy so they can continue to make millions... All that leads to a dramatic level of production from these NBA players when faced against supposed inferior talent.

This proves that despite the NBA taking from the largest talent pool, the NBA as a league as a whole is actually conditioning the players to dealing with very soft levels of defense that is almost unrealistic compared to any other professional or semi professional league. Once these NBA players are forced to deal with an actual realistic level of defense then you see that it takes them an adjustment period to remind themselves as basketball players about how to deal with actual defense instead of simply routine NBA shoot-around defense.

Imagine if Zion was on the Warriors. The Spacing he would get with Curry, Klay, and to a lesser extent D LO.

Lets say they do. What does that even mean? Hes a 3rd ballot hall of famer instead of first like Giannis likely will be?

The standards these people are held to are insane. Ben Simmons is a 22 year old 17/9/8 all star likely to be a good to star player for the next 10-12 years. If Zion ends up somewhere between he and Giannis impact wise hes a borderline hall of famer.

There is a lot of room to be great between GOAT tier and hall of fame but people act like being "just" an all star for a long ass time makes you something to laugh at.

He doesnt have to be all time elite to have been worth the hype. Not every top pick needs to be Tim Duncan.

If he has a Nique career hes justified the hype and then some. If hes "just" Shawn Kemp minus the drugs its a hell of a career.

He struggled more?

He put up one of the most dominating and efficient seasons in many decades.

No kidding.

Zion will always have haters because they cannot accept that a 19 year old (will be 19 his entire rookie year) 6'6" person is not only one of the heaviest (all muscle btw), strongest, has one of the highest verticals, is quick as shit, one of the most explosive players in the league can do the things he does.

The people who cry about how he "doesn't have skills" are idiots...to them 3 point shooting is the only thing that matters when talking about if someone is skilled or not.

"It's only preseason" - The guy went after and attacked Gobert in their match up and was making shots against him in the paint.

Simply put...physically he has a 25 year old veteran body in a brain that needs more game and league experience. Many parallels to LeBron (minus the super advanced passing) and it should not surprise that he going to have great success. Lebron has made a HOF career with his amazing in the paint efficiency...why wouldn't Zion do the same?
