Watching GSW vs LAL right now. It's sad to watch the Warriors, once just about the strongest team in fundamentals, play now. Not a single player will set a screen. Everyone slips now, even the bigs (slipping is great......if you want more touches and shots, bad for your teammates and team overall; yes sometimes slips makes sense esp. when opponent is doubling the ball-handler but they are slipping/fake-screening all the time). Everyone wants the ball and to go 1:1.
Even with Klay in the lineup they would never win playing like this. Very little ball movement and people cutting off the ball. The Warriors were always more than the sum of their parts because of how they played. The problem is cultural, not just new players; the players stopped listening to the coaches about 2 years ago and I trust the new players get the drift and don't listen to them either. So I don't think more games playing together will change anything.
