We used to argue about the heights of players from back in the day and everyone would compare listed heights like they were too stupid to realize the NBA just flipped it and started letting guys list their height in shoes. People talking about Russell and Reed being 6'9''....when most bigmen have always been about 6'9'' or 10.
Anthony Davis and Dwight both 6'9'' and change. Hakeem was about 6'10''. Zo maybe 6'8''.
Guys have never been as tall as the public was led to believe....which is why when you see some of them next to the legit giants like Shaq he seemed out of place. And then you see Shaq next to Yao and its striking too.
Most NBA bigs are the same 6'8'' guys from the 60s with some added weight training.

That would mean he's 6-10 in shoes and he's clearly not.

Lebron in person is like 6'7 and some change. I saw him at Caribana 2 years ago in flip flops (worst feet ever saw) and next to Tristan, he looked a strong 6'7.

Guys have never been as tall as the public was led to believe .... This .
50 years ago in 1969 & averagev heights are unchanged:
Reed-6'9
Hayes-6'9
Thurmond-6'11
Bellamy-6'11
Kareem-7 plus
Wilt- 7 plus
Russell (6'9) retired that summer
Most of those guys would be listed at 6'11 /7'0 today.

Garnett and Dirk were both 7 feet but downplayed it because they were too skinny to bang with real 7 footers so it goes both ways.

In b4 you post 1,000 pictures of his legs to show not only his lack of being 6'8, but how he's somehow juicing. :lol

Durant measured 6'9 w/o shoes at the combine.
https://stats.nba.com/draft/combine-anthro/#!?sort=HEIGHT_WO_SHOES&dir=1&SeasonYear=2007-08
Lebron measured 6'7.25 w/o shoes at the combine. He was straight out of high school so he certainly could have grown an inch.
