Gobert will be pulled away from the hoop - by the rules of the game - so long as the offensive team puts a big that can shoot out there. Now the hoops open. The pick will block out Conley putting the lumbering Gobert on the guard out on the perimeter where length won't help only quickness can - by then it's too late, open lane.

I'm sure it may be viewed as a tougher matchup, but offensive players especially in the leagues current format have a massive, massive advantage. That's why fg% are so insane in this era, nobody handling the ball is every really under duress in this era without hand checking.

Pulling Gobert away from the rim is the best way to attack them certainly but how many stretch bigs can defend at the other end. They went from a mediocre offense to one of the best now. Gobert is hardly lumbering though
