Honestly even if Durant was healthy him and Kawhi would still be 1a/1b. Durant is only slightly better on offense now if even that. Kawhi has become a literal walking bucket whenever and whereever the **** you need it. And Kawhi's defense is objectively better than Durant's. People who called his defense overrated last year have no idea wtf they're talking about. We were a different team completely on both ends with Kawhi.

Sorry Kawhi will never get that title wake up... 17 years in league 15 of them being a top 3 player and probably a decade straight being the clear cut best... only in last season or two is there even a debate. if we're going by regular season (as you did for 2009), then Curry is clearly the best in 2016, and Durant in 2014

If we consider the regular season and playoffs, then Lebron clearly wasn't the best in 2010 or 2011.

He wasn't the best in consecutive years until the 2012 - 2018 period, and even then there's years in there where Curry and Durant were better, as previously mentioned

People tend to overlook things which don't relate to either the box score or advanced stats. LeBron doesn't elevate a team to elite winning because his skill set is not ideal for a dominant scorer.

Kawhi is another polished gem like Kobe. Both drafted rather low.

But for the sheep I think it will take another ring for it to start sinking in. The marketing machine is still heavily favoring the Qing. No matter how good you're, and how much of a fraud the Qing is, you're not going global in recognition without their pull.
