He literally said "oh f.uck" when Kawhi re-entered the game... :oldlol:

The reason he's scared of Kawhi is because Kawhi defends him well and Lebron can't "get off" on Kawhi..

But Lebron shouldn't let his emotions be known like that (weak, beta mentality), nor should he view Kawhi with fear - he should RELISH the opportunity to go against the best, as MJ and Kobe always did.. They were chomping at the bit to go against the best defenders.

In the 2013 Finals, Lebron averaged 16 on 39% for the first 3 games, and it was Kawhi locking him up.

He was most definitely saying "oh f.uck" because Kawhi was coming in the game, and this has been well-documented in the mainstream media

heck, the ref had the ball in his hands and the FT had either already been shot many seconds ago, or he hadn't shot the FT yet... ur just in laughable denial.. poor kid

Lebron is just smart enough at basketball that he recognizes how good Kawhi really is. That look on his face when he sees Kawhi check in, that's the look of a man contemplating why he ever got "Chosen One" tattooed on his back knowing a player like Kawhi exists.

Kawhi doesn't even have an ego. It's crazy how different they are both in personality and in effectiveness per possession. Kawhi impacts games on minimal touches with 25-30 points without hammering the air out of the ball, which keeps his teammates active. LeBron's 25-30 comes at a huge price, he'll outright drain 3 times as many minutes on a clock never letting his teammates touch it vs the time it took for Kawhi to get those same points on a quick and easy cut or curl. And don't even get me started on defense.

This is really easy to say now when one guy is 34 and in his 17th season with far, far more mins played than anybody at this point in their career and the guy you are comparing him to is in the middle of his prime. The story would be different if this were 10 years ago.

Yes. People seem to forget. If we gonna do a comparison in their primes, Lebron wins. The most complete player ever.

''The most complete player ever'' does not mean that Lebron is the GOAT.

However, if you need mix of passing (Magic) or scoring (MJ) Lebron is your guy. :facepalm

People forgot he was once the greatest player in his era. :facepalm

Given that this may be his final season, I expect King James to remind the world that he still IS the reigning best player on this planet. He ain't got that many seasons left.

People will miss him when he retires.

No it wouldn't - Lebron was losing as the heavy favorite to a weak cast in 2009, whereas the things hiphopanonymous just said would allow Kawhi to make those Finals like Lebron was supposed to do

Ur just a little delusional because nothing has changed in 10 years - lebron's style turns teammates into spot-up shooters, which doesn't develop teammates or teams, so he must team-hop for ready-made stars/teams

Ultimately, Lebron's 1-ball-dominator and 4 shooters approach is a basic way to play and a low ball movement brand that struggles against good teams...

he's simply a CP3-style ball-dominator and skillset that avoided the career-losing fate of other ball-dominators by team-hopping for the extra talent that the style needs to win, aka a 3rd star

LeBron was clearly reacting to kawhi coming in the game in that video. It dosnt mean he's scared of him though. He just knew he was about to have his hands full. The fact that some LeBron fans can't admit to this is denial to the fullest. The video is clear as day.

Good topic.

I say he is still afraid of Kawhi. Lebron is not the type that has that killer psychopathic mentality when it comes to competition, that leads to a point where destroying the particular opponent is the only thing that matters in the world. It's something genetic. Something rare that a human is born with. So for that reason I say that yes Lebron is still scared of Kawhi. Jordan wouldn't had reacted the way Lebron did in that video, he would have wanted Kawhi in and for everybody else to get out of the way. I think that's a key difference in the two and why it's kind of an insult to even have such a debate about whether Lebron is the GOAT. And I'm a big Lebron fan.

Remember that Jordan vs Jordan commercial, and how when Jordan walked into the gym for filming he saw the guy who played his double practicing some of his dunks, and something switched in his brain, set filming aside it's time to play and he made the double cry? The guy who played his double left to the parking lot and was balling his eyes out. That genetic switch, Lebron doesn't have that genetic expression required to be a true GOAT. In fact genetically he would be closer to a guy who would had ran to the parking lot to have a good cry.

This is about LeBron versus Pop, not LeBron and Kawhi. LeBron was planning to run something special with Kawhi on the bench, but Pop knew something was up and sent Kawhi back in, which made LeBron go, "Damnit!"

Bron was hoping to catch Pop off guard, in other words.

Remember, LeBron and Pop play chess. Kawhi is just a pawn.

These sorts of interactions and games between LeBron and Pop is why Pop respects LeBron's IQ so much and visa versa.

Fear is a big word to express especially for an all time great player like lebron.

i think uncomfortable is the right word to use here. Kawhi makes lebron james very uncomfortable on his ball handeling skills .
kawhi has supreme anticipation and world class defensive IQ.
it's not just lebron that has difficulties with kawhi but literally every basketball player....so you can't impossible blame lebron for this kinda issue he has.

2017-present Kawhi is a goat level player with no weaknesses. Kawhi will punish LeBron as long as he gets consistent 2nd option scoring from George and morris doesn't play like a bonehead.

In the finals Kawhi will either face Embiid or Giannis. Embiid killed Zubac last game so have Noah guard him and hope for the best. Kawhi hit 2 game winners on Embiid in playoffs game 4 and game 7, he would own him again. Giannis would get lit up by Kawhi like last year.
