Back story: There's a railway bridge in Durham, NC that is only 11'8 in height, too short for most box trucks. There are several signs and flashing light warnings for trucks to turn and not attempt to go under the bridge yet several hundred have tried and failed. The city recently announced that they are going to demolish and rebuild the crossing. This saddens me as this has been a source of entertainment for me for years. I especially like the ones that crash while running the red light.

Alot of truck drivers are idiots. Jobcenters here paid trucklicenses for people who otherwise couldn't get a job.

Also if there's a low clearence object on the streets we have flexible bars at the same height 25m to 100m before. So if a truck hits that the driver knows he's got to stop.
