...because literally he carries the show. it used to be somehow important that Jerry is a comedian, and now im on season 7 watching re runs and Jerrys stand up part is completely removed from the show lol...
George is better portrayed as character, more in depth, and Jerry half the time feels like robot..must have been that scientloogy crap

It's common to have a TV show or movie where the supporting character is more interesting than the main.

Watching Curb your enthusiasm its really really obvious how much Larry David had to do with that how being great. He pretty much is George....and they went that route during a Seinfeld reunion story on Curb once. They spelled out it but you could tell years before.

Curb is r rated Seinfeld with George as the star.

Scientology helped him in his early days to combat akwardness and public speaking. He himself says technology obsesses him. He could somewhat be saying truth regarding that autism claim few years ago. They often see little details that other dont and combine that with sense of hmor and you basically get Jerry Seinfeld. Dissecting every human interaction or habit shouldnt really be normal.

George's character was in fact based on Larry David.

David > Seinfeld

Jerry is better at stand up, but LD is way funnier. In fact, some bits Jerry uses you can hear in LD interviews when he talks about his life.

Never really got into Jerry's stand up. The show is a GOAT comdey sit-com though and it's obvious that Larry David was the real brains behind that show...Curb Your Enthusiasm is another GOAT comedy sit-com and that one is all LD. Genius comedic mind

And yeah, a lot of the situations on Seinfeld were taken from what happened to David IRL, like the one were George quits his job on Friday, and then regrets it and goes back to work on Monday like nothing happened, lol. Larry David really did that when he worked as a writer on SNL, got in a heated argument, quit right on the spot, then tried to go back to work like nothing happened, LMAO

that's intentional. jerry is the straight man (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straight_man). classic comedy formula.

every show with eccentric characters like kramer or costanza needs the straight man. it'd be like watching an insane asylum documentary with them. :lol

seinfeld is obsessed with stand up. you ever watch comedians in cars getting coffee? don't think he ever really gave a shit about or even respected sitcoms, including his own. larry was easily the power behind the success of that show, and obviously later on curb.

Jason Alexander net worth $50 million
LD 400 million
Seinfeld 1 Billion

Jerry should be on his knees sucking Larry and Jason's dick every morning

Curb is a great filler show if you miss seinfeld.

And i agree, george produced the funniest bits of tgat show. Jerry was essentially as valuable as the other side characters. Never found his particular humor that funny. George is out of this world funny.

Jerry in Seinfield is how Adam Sandler is in most of his movies, everyone remembers Shooter better than Happy

But behind scenes he's the mastermind and runs show
