I don't think so because I think their team is fairly loaded and they'll manage his load as much as possible. He might have similar numbers to last year, but at the same time I guess he could win MVP if PG is hurt and doesn't play as well all year and they still win 60+ games and get a top 2 seed. I wouldn't be surprised if he sat against lottery teams again and only played like 70 games total. I think it's more likely that Giannis or Harden win another because they just carry such a huge load and their teams win a lot of games.

All Kawhi needs to do is play 65-70 games and he should get it.

It's harder to win a 2nd MVP compared to the first one, and Kawhi has the narrative and the team to do it. Plus, he probably is the actual best player.

This year is probably Kawhi's biggest chance to become a legit all time great with an MVP/FMVP combo this year.
