Very fun team to watch. Still not gonna make the playoffs though.

Luka and Porzingis looks very promising and I think over the years if they stay healthy and put soldi role players around them they are gonna be competing for a long long time.

Luka looks like he could be the best player in the league in 2-3 years

Brunson/Maxi/DFS/Wright have the potential to be a lot better than people would initially think.

Curry is solid and while I've never been a big fan of Powell, he should help a bit.

Only bad contract is Hardaway...and maybe we can use him to absorb a big/long deal that another team just wants to get off of at some point this season.

Their role players arent bad individually, but I dont think they fit well around Cic and Zing. Theyre mostly slashers, except for Kleber who is a “shooter” (I guess?) but not a great one. Luka is already pretty ball dominant and plays so much 2-man with KP, it feels like those other guys are kind of just waiting their turn and then feel like they have to shoot it when they get it.

This is what people criticized LeHung for, but the reality is you dont need 3-4 slashers/go-to scorers on the court at the same time. The optimal set up is to have catch-and-shoot players spacing the floor. And it particularly helps if theyre vets who know and have accepted that role, rather than young guys who are torn about accepting it.

Iguodala would be a nice fit but unfortunately I doubt he goes. I also think they really need a junkyard dog in the paint who doesnt need touches and will provide some offensive boarding, especially with all those 32-footers Luka and KP are launching. Other than KP (who looks great on defense) theyre a pretty small team and will get bullied on both sides of the ball by teams with muscle.

1. Agreed, but that doesn't mean he can't be included in a trade. For example, I guarantee you that the Thunder would take him and Lee for Paul. We shouldn't do that of course, unless they gave us back a first rounder or something, but you get the point.

2. No, Maxi has to continue to improve his 3 ball. He's going to be left wide open and he needs to hit them at a high enough rate or his defense won't be worth having him on the floor a lot. Not sure why'd you tell a guy that made 35% of his 3's last year to stop working on that part of his game. That is really one of the few things this team can do to get a lot better...Maxi improving his 3 would be huge for this team.

Two legit young stars is a good starting point. They raped the Knicks getting KP.

Not sure about the rest of the guys but they will figure it out. They have a good history there although the last few years have been weak. When you already have your 1 and 2 scorers the heaving lifting is done.

A defensive C like Steven Adams would work there. OKC might be having a fire sale this season.
