US officials stated that there's no way Trump would've known of the details of the attack since it was all from a drone and not live body cam footage. And even 'if' there was body cam footage it would've been seen later after the attack. No proof that any official actually told him the details of the attack and the crying and having the children killed.

And some officials denied Trump's claims that this was bigger than Osama and anyone else.
