Have we not seen this dude play for a while now? Greatest motor ever, and one of the lowest basketball IQs of any superstar in the history of the sport. How is that guy in the heightened atmosphere of the playoffs going to win a championship? :biggums:

Sure. Guys like Magic Johnson, Jason Kidd, Le12InchPenis.
I was talking more about jacking up unnecessary shots and making 40% of them tho.
Which reminds me of Kobe.

He's the 2nd worst player of all time after Kobe.
because he's a ****ing beast. he showed up for okc in the finals.
it's already hard to win in the NBA - it's borderline impossible with harden at your side choking his ass off.
this is one of the greatest plays in NBA history - my only regret is that Artest didn't get an award:

He was also better than Durant in the 2014 playoffs when Durant was MVP of the league.
I believe in him much more than Harden. Also, Russ has been fantastic for the Rockets so far. Why the hate now?

yup. russ haters usually have an obvious agenda like being a kd stan or a drose stan. meanwhile everyone in okc loves him.
I would take him on the raptors any day and would slide him over to shooting guard.

Who actually believes in Westbrook? There is me, and a couple other guys on here. Almost everyone else is expecting extreme failure with Harden. Some would even take Mark Price over him :confusedshrug:
I think Russ is the anti-Harden. He will fight for that offensive rebound at the end of the game. Here's to hoping he gets a ring, he deserves it for busting his ass for so many years.

Because he's highly skilled and always gives his team a puncher's chance.
Motor like no other.
Rockets could win the title if they stay healthy and the Clippers, Philly, or Lakers lose a key guy.
They're better with him than without.

The Heat's gameplan was to mainly focus on stopping Harden cause they knew Durant and Westbrook would get their points. Harden up until the Heat series was playing fantastic in the playoffs, especially in that WCF series against Spurs

oh wait Thunder. Right

that's a false narrative being pushed by strippers in houston, just to protect their meal ticket.

You don't think it's a coincidence that started a pattern of Harden consistently underperforming, and in more than a few circumstances playing terribly, in pretty much every postseason to follow?
That 2012 Finals showing was not a one off fluke, it set the trend for Harden's playoff career

He's made it to the Finals before. He might not be good enough to carry a team to a title but why wouldn't he be able to win as the 2nd best player? We've seen him make two WCF and a Finals before. This is the first time since 2016 while that Westbrook doesn't have to close for his team, he actually has shooters around him to space the floor for him and another star who can get points in crunch time.

Because they see themselves in him.
They recognize that he exhibits the same selfish destructive insecure, overly ambitious, yet erratic behaviors that they do.
Russ entire personality screams:
“raised exclusively by females”
“emotionally imbalanced”
“Desperately fighting with siblings for attention”
“Hypertonia crackbaby”
(Russ exhibits the typical small curled ears of cocaine babies)
“Refusal to accept blame for his actions”
“Inability to learn/change from patterns of failure”
Dude is a mentally feminine emotional hyperactive mess, on and off the court.
Dude consistently makes the worst decisions of anyone on the floor, with his incredibly poor instincts, and zero conscience/care when he does wrong over and over (also a typical cocaine baby trait)
And he dresses like a broad and exhibits hella DL tendencies, which makes it difficult for him to truly connect on that solider ride or die level with his real, honest, sane, socially and mentally masculine teammates.
I feel both pity and disgust for his devoted fans.
And roast them mercilessly in every sports bar or barbershop they dared defend this selfish low IQ stat padding hoe a$$ nicca anytime over the last ten years.

Son is the greatest track athlete to ever play guard in the NBA.
But he is overrated AF.

I don't care if you play hard if you're a complete dumbass the way Westbrook has ALWAYS been. It's like some people only now see how ****ed up he is, when lots of us were screaming about it for like 8 years.

Because we believe that gameplay can change. i.e Jason Kidd went from bad shooter for years to a good shooter. It doesn't take much intelligence to be a 'good when open' shooter.
If Russ becomes a good shooter it will alleviate a lot of his shortcomings.

The brutal truth is as follows:
Not all human beings have enough nerve endings in their fingertips, or sufficient axioms and neurons in their brain to do things with incredibly fine detail or even motor-detail.
Many people who lack those things genetically, who also were born with cocaine or amphetamines in their system (Westbrook had the trademark small curled up ears of a cocaine baby), simply don’t have enough development or enough axions or neurons in their brain regions which learn patterns and learn from mistakes, to even consciously acknowledge problematic patterns. These sad MF go they life feeling like “it’s me against the world” and never blame themselves until death.
Russ also has the trademark hypertonia of a cocaine baby. His muscles have zero slow twitch capability, and he’s a toe Walker who keeps unecessary muscle groups tense and explosive at all times against his own will. Cocaine babies have abs at 3yrs old for this reason… their muscle tissue is always in a state of fast twitch explosively ready tension, and it makes slower, detailed, thoughtful and nuanced actions like gorgeous calligraphy or extreme accuracy throwing a ball…: physically impossible no matter how much practice they engage in.
Russ can only be a hyper, explosive, out of control turnover machine. He’s hard wired for it.

This is interesting and makes a lot of sense. He has no fine motor control as a physical trait. That guy Nate Robinson has a lot of the traits you describe too.

I'm sold on the cocaine baby theory. People think Westbrook can be good because they see him as hard working but hes basically someone that attempts to break a wall by hitting it with his head.
