Today marks the anniversary of DRose's 50 point game, one of the greatest individual performances of all time, when context is considered.

It was a cinderella story as it gets. You have a fallen star which has been derided and written off after multiple knee surgeries. Contemplated retirement and no one in the league wanted to give him a chance.

And then.. he comes back and destroys the best defensive team in the league led by Rudy Gobert, willing his team to victory with shots from everywhere and crazy finishes from his MVP days. Showing everybody he is still an incredible player.

Rose's 50 point game is up there with Kobe's 60 point last game as the two most emotional performances in the regular season in recent history.

I remember watching highlights of him at Simeon, and then Miami missed out on the #1 pick to Chicago's 1.8% chance. He is and was an absolute talent, injuries took away the face of Chicago, and potentially one of the faces of the league for many years. I feel like he lost his way a little, the injuries and the fans obviously got to him, but it really is good to have him back in the capacity that he gives every night for his teams.

I think he should start for Pistons.

His defense has waned since his MVP year / but still a GOOD player
