NBA keeps suspending players for drug infractions, and they are almost always scrubs.

I thought the almighty PEDs make you GoAtS-level???

PEDs most definitely impact the top athletes of this world. It doesn't make them dribble a ball better, no. Some of them massively effect in-game fatigue, recovery, can enhance your physical tools, speed, vertical leap.

They don't test the superstars - the results would turn their own brand into a huge scandal. They test and crucify the scrubs to keep the public happy.

Nah bruh peds definitely give u an edge. It's not gonna turn a scrub in the nba into a star but it will turn g league scrub into a NBA scrub or a NBA scrub into a mid level player or a mid level player into a star.

Scrubs aren't the only ones who take PEDs, they're just the only ones who get caught

eek

stars get hit the hardest and most thoroughly by USADA for FIBA, then again randomly by WADA and IOC gearing up for Olympics

its like... Viagra doesn't make you better in bed.

Drugs don't make you more creative.

What your statement should be is... PEDs do not make you GOOD at basketball, because if you are really good at basketball, they will make you better. Especially if they allow you to get athletic gains. When you are a guy who can get a shot off with a couple inches of space, imagine how much of a difference that makes, or posting up/defending the post, rebounding... etc.

Unless you can prove that PEDs lower hand eye coordination or nuanced skills, then I'm pretty confident in saying you're wrong on this one.

They absolutely can make you better. They allow you to recover faster and get stronger. You can work out more and recover after it. You can practice harder and then come back and do it again the next day.

To think that the best aren't doing drugs is crazy. Just remember Barry Bonds and Lance Armstrong never had a dirty test either.

Viagra is to correct a symptomatic problem. PEDs are purely an enhancement. So you can nix that comparison right there.

They do, as others have already pointed out, enable you to be a better athlete and as a result be able to train more often and more intensely - to become a better basketball player. You can become better skill-wise, indirectly for that reason. And as far as direct effects go, quickness and strength can increase which aren't necessarily basketball skills but sure are good to have for the sport.

Why does Lebron take random trips to Miami and have a biochemist on his payroll?

I think I saw RRR3 claim LeBron is purely a hard worker and not on any PEDs in the thread where that roleplayer got busted. If he or anyone else honestly believes that bless their heart but I hope for their own sake they never have to meet any of these heros and learn the truth. Their world view would come crumbling down. Competitive athletes at the top of their field are juicing like crazy. It's just like another poster already pointed out, the most tested athletes on the planet like Lance and Bonds NEVER TESTED POSITIVE. The gear they are on is always one step ahead of the "current" testing procedures. That's the biochemist on LeBron's payroll doing his job.

My cousins played competitive ball D1 and then in France overseas. They weren't stars but most players are getting topped up on their testosterone and some are taking fat burners that require medical supervision. They're powerful and they cycle.

It's not illegal but it's borderline and like the other poster said, something about being ahead of the curve.

Kinda like what Kobe did in germany. haha

u don't think people take viagra w/o having ED... I mean speed is to correct a symptomatic problem, too.

My point is having a super hard **** for hours isn't gonna mean shit if you can't do anything w/ it. yafeelme.

And I reckon some PEDs can have positive medical effects in certain circumstances, as well.

I ain't hating, whether you are on viagra or not. My point was just that better tools make people better, if they can use them properly. Without them, they don't do a lot.
