Its really legit discussion at this point. One led Brooklyn to playoffs, the other is leading to lottery. Not just Lottery, his former team Boston Celtics is leading the NBA right now without him.

Kyrie is literally far better than D. Lo in all phases of the game except passing, and even that is close. D. Lo is either a good starter or a fringe all-star and Kyrie is All-NBA level since 2015.

Celtics have played bad teams so far and they're benefitting from Hayward being much more recovered from last year and Tatum and Jaylen Brown getting a bit better.

Kyrie is overrated because of his 2016 hype thanks to LeBron. Boston was good before him, bad with him, and now good again without him. The same with Brooklyn, they were good before him and now they are in the lottery.

Kyrie is a no impact player, the only thing he does good is 1vs1 scoring, but that won't win you games, it can close some games when you desperately need a bucket in the crunch time, but the team with him as a first option playing hero ball all game long is not going anywhere. Russell is a fringe all star player in the weak East, and can lead his team to first round exits in the East, in stacked West he's just another guard.
