The Clippers are not worthy rivals for the King

The irony is that at this point in his career, Lebron should absolutely embrace load management.

Unless the Lakers are struggling to make the playoffs, there is no reason why Lebron should play more than 70 games this year.

Also, aren't we finding out recently that Kawhi does have some kind of knee issue? I'm imagining it's something that could be chronic so Kawhi actually should be acting cautious in the regular season.

Lebron also doesn't flop, can get 60 anytime he wants, and will average 80% FTs for a season.

I've lost some respect for Kawhi, and gained a ton for Lebron. Never been a Lebron fan, but I'm actually rooting for him this year.

I like it.

Especially after that "LA is mine" Kawhi commercial.

Getting a Laker/Clipper showdown in the postseason...would be ideal.

Good point, last season made him fall behind a bit so he has to make it up this season

Except when he sat out the last 6 or so games at the end of last season. He wasn't hurt. Just wanted damage control for missing the playoffs in the wild West.

He didn't want to risk getting injured while playing in a meaningless game

One of the few philosophies of LeBron's I agree with.

Hate his superteaming philosophy that now spread through this league like a cancer and I also dislike a lot of his playstyle philosophies like draining the clock at the top of the 3 point line - but if you're a player and love this game you better play if you're healthy, period. NBA players are ultimately playing in an entertainment industry and getting into a rhythm of not doing so when healthy is biting the hand that feeds them. Fans will tune out of those games.

This is also the medias and fans fault though, as I agree with what Jalen Rose said on this recently. We act like the regular season - the journey - is inconsequential. We act like championships are end all be all for a legacy and this just wasn't how it's always been, we only recently got so hell bent on this fetish. It's a ridiculous narrative to dwell so much on championships and completely trash the journeys these players go through during a season in my humble opinion. If a regular season "means nothing" (as many of you on here echo) than of course these superstars will just sit it out as often as they can. You're all making the beds for them to sleep in. This kind of rhetoric we push I fear will also tempt the league to shorten the regular season or at least shorten the amount of regular season games played in the U.S. The NBA will find a way to play more than just a few pre-season games over in China or Europe if they know fans in the U.S. don't care about the regular season and their stars sitting out.

He's getting old. He just needs to get someone like FultzNationRISE to manage his loads for him.
