Brandon Ingram becomes the second player in #NBA history to score over 200 points while shooting over .500 from the field and .400 from three-point range in their first eight games with a team, joining Kevin Durant, who did it with Golden State in 2016

The Lakers gave up the soon to be greatest player of all time for peanuts. What a franchise. :oldlol: Pelinka needs to go.

Tacko Fall 1st player with 7'5 height to ever average 4PPG in 50% shooting.

1st in nba history.

LMAO at this analysis, dissecting every stat just to give credit to an empty stat like Outgram :oldlol:

Ran the 90's he wouldn't even be a top 20. He's not a top 20 in this era either

That was 100% due to salary reasons.

2-7 ingram ball

That's still better than when LeBron activated playoff mode last season and went 2-13. That was hilarious.

Ingram's had 25+ in 7 straight games that he's actually finished, you take away the injury game and he's put up 28/7/4. He's definitely looking like 2nd year KD so far. OKC won 23 games that season and KD averaged 25/7/3.

I think that will be pretty common moving forward, well more common than it only having happened once in NBA history before now - if that's even true considering Pascal Siakam did on on 50-40-90 which is even more impressive considering Ingrham was a lottery pick.

ingram is a clear-cut example that people know nothing about the game

how could anyone look at ingram's game and say he will be a bust? or isn't good?

the fact basically every fan/media said this about ingram proves that their eye test is shit - that's why I rail against everyone - because they thought ingram was garbage, so that means they know shit about the game.

:applause:

that's the thing about reading box scores, they are a good description of what happened in the game but gives no understanding of why things happened and therefore have little predictive value.

I think Ingram is a special player - a potential all-time great if he keeps working

what takes him to another level is his jumpshot - he already has an elite turnaround, 3-point shot, mid-range shot, pull-up off one or two dribbles, or a hard dribble.. only guys like bird, mj, kobe, etc were elite jumpshooters in all these areas

AirBonner

Ingram is a better midrange shooter than MJ

Ingram is a better midrange shooter than MJ
It's funny because I think Ingram is good enough to lead the league in scoring one day

But can he win 3 scoring titles living off contested mid-range (the toughest shot in basketball) like MJ did from 1996-1998?

Probably not.

No one comes close to MJ's combination of volume and efficiency from mid-range

People don't realize that when they say MJ had the goat fadeaway, they're saying MJ had the goat jumper, because basically all jumpers off-the-dribble or from the post are fadeaways... the "fadeaway" means "jumpshot".. MJ had the goat jumper, and the stats prove that

And how many wins were had in that time. Putting up empty stats leading to losses has always and will always mean nothing. You'd think the NO was at the top of the standings the way OP sucks his ex Ingram off. :oldlol:

Though, to be fair, Ingram is easily better than MIchael Jordan at the same age that's for sure.
