Harden was better all year last year as well and performed better against the Warriors than Kawhi.

Harden is actually pretty easily the best offensive force in the league. His production is insane.

What's his PPG look like now? I wonder if 3Ball is going to have to do a takedown of Harden if he eclipses Jordan's best scoring season.

What? Are you joking? Harden scored 1 more point a game but he was way less efficient. Defensively (which is half the game) kawhi was a hundred times better. Kawhi also hit one of the biggest most clutch shots in playoff history and won a championship.

Your the one the must not of watched.

Harden is scoring better than anyone ever in NBA history since last year per 100 possessions.

He also put up like 35/6/6 against the Warriors last year with KD actually playing 4 games in that series.

The people talking about Harden not playing defense are still stuck in 2016.

No one can objectively make the argument that Kawhi was better last year than Harden. All they can say is Kawhi and the Raptors beat an injured Warriors team in the finals.

I'm not dissing Kawhi or anything, he was a top 4 player last year.

Sure they can. Its convenient that harden fans want to freak out about his regular season stats but when you give them playoff stats the just ignore them. I'll do it any way though

2019 Playoffs
Harden 31.6 on 41% fg 35% 3pt
Kawhi 30.5 on 49% fg 38% 3pt

Yes harden is a better defender than a was a few years ago but kawhi is still way better. So kawhi in the playoffs is pretty much as good offensively and way better defensively.

How's that for objectivity :facepalm

Objectively? Kawhi had better numbers in the playoffs. And was a superior defender in every way. For all the talk Harden gets for his PPG, Kawhi was more dynamic with his scoring and came up BIG when his team needed him to. Time and again. One regular-season game in November doesn't change anything.

Harden vs Warriors (KD 4 games played) 35/7/5.5/2.2/.5 on 59.4 TS%

Kawhi vs Warriors 28.5/10/4/2/1.2 on 60.6 TS%

Harden was better, although Kawhi was great as well. Kawhi has a slight defensive edge, Harden DID play solid defense all of last year (2nd in steals for the whole NBA).

If KD plays 4 games in the finals, Kawhi goes home a loser as well like Harden.

Harden was better than Kawhi in the regular season from a production standpoint as well as considering Harden played 78 games and Kawhi only 60.

I mean...we literally just saw Harden embarrass the fuc.k out of Kawhi last night too.

Your using one 4 game series though and a one game regular season game where yes harden was amazing and got the better of kawhi. I guess we'll see come playoff time where harden throughout his career is has been constantly inefficient and not a great defender. As for this year so far though round 1 goes to harden.

Rockets/Raptors both went 6 games with the Warriors last year. I am not defending Harden's previous years before last year.

Harden clearly elevated his game last year and frankly should have been MVP. Chris Paul and other Rockets players missed a ton of games yet Harden carried HARD.

Harden scored more points per 100 possessions than ANYONE IN HISTORY. That's including MJ...people are underrating Harden's season last year because of his previous seasons.

I am simply saying that Harden has been better than Kawhi (not by a lot) since the beginning of last year.

I also f'ukin hate watching Harden play, I am not a fan of his...but I am still in awe of the total production numbers he managed.

I'd agree if we're talking just offensively but I'm a heavy believer that defence matters almost as much as offence. Even with hardens improvement he's was behind defensively and I just don't think his slight advantage offensively is enough to make up for his large disadvantage defensively. I agree he could of been MVP though. I thought Greek deserved it to though. I don't deny that harden is sick I just don't like the mj and other greats comparisons until he shows he can consistently elevate his game come playoff time. Last year was improvement. We'll see what happens this year.

OP is a bron stan. Hes doing everything he can to diminish kawhi coz Kawhi just embarrassed a 4 time MVP but no legit rings to show for it. And kawhi winning means kobe > lebron. And harden really is more lebron. Triple doubles but shrinks in the playoffs esp in the clutch.

You're right. Kawhi proved that an individual with a similar game to Kobe's while not close in peak could steamroll the East, even on perennial losing team like the Raptors. Kawhi did it on his first year, burying all the Bran narratives about the 8 straight Finals "herculean effort" in the weakass Eastern conference while colluding and stacking his teams to the brim with talent, in large part, to the detriment of the conference he was even playing (hardly any talent came from the West (Love)). All of that and he failed 6 times, got bailed by his teammate and the league in one, and bailed by Ray in the other, after almost choking that series for the first 6 games. Fraud - nothing less.

Low IQ Stronglurk can't read between the lines.
