meanwhile, Suns sitting at 7-4 with a comparable schedule. funny thing is even clipper fans are saying the Suns this season are playing like the Clippers from last season. :oldlol:

Trolling thread notwithstanding, I'm not concerned yet.

Paul George looked great in his debut without Kawhi and as of Friday the whole squad (less Shamet) will be playing.

If they have problems then... then I'll be worried.

Kawhi doesn't care about the regular season.

All he wants are titles, not useless regular season accomplishments.

Eventually he might regret leaving the Raps.

He left such a great situation and organization. It boggles my mind.

Seven different starting line ups, another injured starter.

Not worried, it's the long game here, no one cared about november rings

A few things...

I think it was premature to just crown the Clippers because they took the Warriors (who never took them seriously) to 6 games as if that's an automatic indicator that they'd be a champion just because they brought in Kawhi and George. Pretty sure Kawhi is the only one with championship experience on the whole roster.

The Raptors were a team that were a well oiled machine for years finishing in the top 2 of the conference and making deep playoff runs. Then they brought in a vet like Gasol who has many deep playoff runs, Ibaka who has been to the finals, Powell and Lowry have been to conference finals obviously and then you add Green and Leonard who were both champions. They're defense was also one of the best in the league, that's evident now because they haven't missed a beat without Kawhi and Green.

They were able to essentially keep the same pace, well better, without Kawhi in the lineup last year. I'm not sure the Clippers can do that, they aren't showing it so far. And that matters, home court was clearly important to Toronto in the 2nd round against Philly and in the finals. If they finish with the 3rd or even 4th seed which is definitely possible they have a real uphill battle thaat I'm not automoatically ready to say they're going to win just because.

Both George and Kawhi have injury concerns so their durability is already in question let alone the fit. They could legitimately face the Lakers in the second round, how would that be getting bounced by LA in the conference semi's when you were supposed to be taking over LA?

you can't skip the process

and now they got the king of "we'll turn it up in the postseason" Ty Lue

except the only one who turned it up for him was LeBron:lol
