And to think Tim Hardaway was a 1998 top MVP candidate with his 20 ppg

Bruh being able to dribble with both hands was a big thing back then, ok, no need to denigrate

What's your point though? even if your right(and I'm not saying you are) Penny was better than all of them and older declining mj crushed him with a fast athletic version of Shaq so if this is a thread that's supposed to be a reflection on mj's chips it's a huge fail :facepalm

Penny and Baby Shaq vs. Pip, Rodman, MJ, Harper :lol

Formidable Nick Anderson Magic's 3rd option, what a terrifying team (a team Jordan choked against to the year prior following his gambling hiatus) :oldlol:

wow, destroys OP

Kevin Johnson used to lead 55-win teams regularly and beat 1-seeded Magic in the 1990 playoffs.. That's better than anything MVP Nash ever did, yet KJ wasn't shit back then - not highly regarded.. it's just a lot tougher to be a ball-handler with hand-checking and a non-spaced-out court.

Shaq/Penny > Kawhi/PG, so MJ beat a better duo than Lebron will face this year..

MJ also beat Magic/Worthy, who are better than Kawhi/PG as well

Malone/Stockton and Payton/Kemp also compare to Kawhi/PG... Essentially, MJ won 6 rings in the format that Lebron faces right now - 2-star vs 2-star format..

Imagine the players back then playing in this soft league where real defense isn’t allowed.

Yikes!

And we thought they looked good back then...

Speaks to this era greatness when Vanvleet is a 5th option on a chamionship team as opposed to being an MVP candidate had he played in the 90's

Good point, further puts into perspective just how much the game has changed in 20 years. So much more talent across the board.
