Everyone knows Gasol carried Kobe by outplaying HOF centers and one of the GOAT defenders, while Kobe was statpadding against role players and below average defenders.

Pau didn't play in last year's Playoffs you idiot :facepalm and Kobe had 3 season-ending injuries but you already knew that.
Kobe led the Lakers to a top 5 record post-ASB in 2013 and they got swept by a historic margin without him, that's all you need to know about Pau.

Love stats Pre-LeBron - 26/13/2/59% TS
Bosh stats Pre-LeBron - 24/11/2/59% TS
Pau stats Pre-Kobe - 19/8/3/59% TS
It's safe to say that Kevin Love and Chris Bosh were better than Pau Gasol before they joined with their new teams
LeBron needed Bosh and Love as third options when he won
Kobe only had Paul Gasol as a second option when he won
I don't believe LeBron would win any championships with the 08-10 Laker teams

It is shocking, indeed. How did Kobe of all people get the privilege of being carried by Gasol when literally a 100 other more qualified players deserved his spot instead. So corrupt.

Of course he couldn't, he had the better defenses and 3-point shooters with loaded frontcourts yet couldn't make it to the Finals once while Kobe beat the Spurs without Bynum or Ariza and beat the Magic and Celtics with worse help.

Kobe did more with less. This is well known.
His game and skillset are superior for championship level teamwork, and he can actually be unselfish to win titles, unlike, "let get my stats in this L" Lebron. Which is why he 3-peated earlier with Shaq.
Safely a Top 3-6 player all-time.

Kobe is skilled. He has the skills that matters the most and hes winning first stats second type of guy. While lebron is a stats first winning second. Thats why its just harder to build around lebron coz of his selfishness

I guess that's why the Lakers had a better drating than the Cavs did in 08 and 2010. Also, what loaded front courts are these? Both Gasol and Odom are better than anyone who was playing PF and Center for the Cavs 08-10.

How else do you explain Bron going 2/18 with 10 TOV @Boston and only losing by 4 points in the 2008 Playoffs? Cavs had the better defenses and 3-point shooters.

Bron shot 35% in the 08 ECSF, so do we dare pull up his 4th quarter efficiency.... :(
Do we dare look up his jumpshooting efficiency.. :(..:(
It's always easier to defend a team down the stretch when the guy with the ball all the time can't shoot

35/16/70 splits in the 4th quarter, 1.6 AST to 1.1 TO, 7.6 ppg
Kobe had 41/33/88 splits with 1.5 ast to 0.3 TO, 7.3 ppg in the 2008 Finals
Pierce, the Finals MVP shot 38/33/87 with 1.2 AST to 1.8 TO, 5.5 ppg in 4th quarters
but Lebron is so much better and lost because he had no help :(

LeBron wasn’t at his best yet in 08. Of course you don’t want to compare his stats against the same teams Kobe faced in 09 and 10 :D
