John Collins isn’t that good either. He is nearly as bad on defense as Trae... Not to mention that he can’t create his own shot or pass. His rebounding is also inconsistent. One game he might get 20 rebounds, but the next night he might get 5. He is kind of soft also.

He is sort of a 3rd or 4th option on a good team.

You can yell that these players are young and use that as a crutch if you want. There are young players that actually do produce. Hunter is a Shane Battier or Thaddeus Young level player at best. He doesn’t have the tools to be any sort of legit scorer in the NBA. Cam flat out looks like a bust. He wasn’t very good in college either.

A) these guys aren't even close to similar players.
B) His handles are far better than either at this stage in their careers. And he's already a stud defender

Cam had played well defensively but has been embarrassingly bad shooting the ball. That's fair. But you can't call someone a bust after 11 games. It just doesn't work that way.

As far as Trae goes..he turns the ball over too much. He's also on a shitty team with no expectations and no one else really who can create anything at this point. The kid has balls, and he'll get smarter as he goes.

No NBA team comprised primarily of rookies and second year players has ever done anything. You're expecting way too much right now. For whatever reason...


Cam doesn’t look like a skilled offensive player at all. If he was good in college you could at least lean on that. But he was a lousy shooter in college also. He has shown very little. One decent game out of 12.

Hunter isn’t explosive or athletic enough to be a go to scorer on a nightly basis. It’s mostly going to be 3D for him most nights.

Hunter doesn't need to be a go to scorer on most nights. We have someone else for that. He's a phenomenal defensive player who can take the ball to the rack. Not purely a shooter at all.

A 12-15 PPG player isn’t normally what one looks for with the 4th pick. Plus, you need more than one reliable scorer. I think Hunter maxes out at that Demarre Carroll level. Maybe a Tayshaun Prince level.

Reddish is far more concerning though.
