No three point shot, no defense, very little playmaking, heavy usage for only 20ppg, the analytics don't like him either.

Precisely why I have always maintained that the Raps getting rid of him was addition by subtraction.

Also when you add Kawhi and Lebron moves to the other conference.

For his career Derozan is averaging 20 ppg with an EFG of 46.6% in an era where the rules have been changed to increase offense. He is only 30 so he hasn't gone through the decline that inevitably happens when players age.
For his career Jordan averaged 30 ppg with an EFG of 51%. Obviously his last two years in DC brought down his averages a bit.
Pretty big disparity in the numbers, not to mention Jordan's 9 1st team All-NBA defense awards.

DeRozan needs to be a bench player/super-sub. He has one of the most painfully low BBIQ's in the league.

He is not bad at all. He is decent to average good. In a pool of 500 or so players, most guys (even most starters) won't be great relative to others. Is DeRozan a top 50 play? No. Bottom 100? No. Worst SG? Absolutely not.
I'd say he is a 'good' player slowly becoming average by NBA standards, if by good we mean the top 150, by bad the bottom 150 and average the remaining 200.

People genuinely can’t get their minds around this concept.
He sucks. He isn’t worth max money and good luck winning a championship with him as a starter playing big minutes.

He “sucks” to people who don’t have the means to describe non extremes, there are like 30ish max players out of 450, and at a glance 17 people have been inducted to the HOF without winning as a starter....in just the last 5 years.
Demar has been a run of the mill all star. 4-5 time all star....won 4-5 playoff series. He’s had a real nice career. Something along the lines of Steve Smith or Hersey Hawkins if they didn’t have Jordan eating up all the all star selections. Better than that really career wise.
He’s just another victim of extremist fans who think everything is either boiling or freezing.
He’s warm. Almost at a simmer.

the reason fans claim Derozan "suck" is that paying a guy like Derozan the max is worse for your team's championship aspirations than paying a legit scrub the league minimum
players like Derozan are really bad from a value/$ perspective, hence the seeming cognitive dissonance

Being overpaid and sucking are two different things.
If Derozan was making $10 million/yr nobody would be saying he sucks. But making less money wouldnt make him any better at basketball.
He is averaging 20/5/5 with ok efficiency. Those aren't the numbers of a guy who sucks.

He's a low iq moron that doesn't understand the flow of the game. He'll shoot an inefficient midranger when the lane is wide open or drive to the basket when the paint is clogged. He really doesn't understand team ball. He'll get his mediocre 20 ppg every night but mostly at the detriment of your team. Not too surprising that he took lessons from Kirby. Everybody that works out with the rapist gets worse.
He shouldn't start for any team in the league. if he is, your team probably sucks(like the Spurs the last two years). He can't shoot so your team's spacing will be terrible. He can't play defense either so he'll give up everything on the other end. Talent-wise, he's a bench tier player in the modern nba. He could have been a decent 6th man type like Lou Williams but some idiot coach told him from a very young age that he had star potential.

Yes
hes not an efficient midrange shooter, cant shoot 3s, weak playmaker, stupid IQ and one of the worst defenders in the league
and hes been this way for years.............hes just in a real conference
hes not even a top 3 player on the Spurs. Aldridge, Murray and White are all better. Gay prolly is too

No.
He's just not worth his contract.
LOL at including Wiggins in the list above.
Players with a PER less than 13.1 and scoring more than 17.7 ppg in a completed season since 1975;

Andrew Wiggins twice....LOL
To call someone "stupid" for saying that they think a player that scores inefficiently by taking terrible shots and giving almost no effort anywhere else...is "not good"...is the "hot take"...
To include him in a list with Russ, Giannis, and Simmons from the previous two seasons is straight-up crazy.

Grocery bagger era
The funny thing about people saying this is that this era has more star players that look like gb's than almost any era. Because of the rules There's more little gaurds that are stars now than ever before. The only star gaurd that looked like a grocery bagger in the 90's was stocton And he was the second best player on the team and more of a game manager. In this era players who look like garbage men can be the best players on there team. Curry, harden, tray, D'Angelo, Lillard, kemba, Kyrie ect.
If the 90's were the grocery bag era this must be the garbage man era :facepalm

How tf can a player with Derozan's skill, finesse, footwork and general aesthetical appeal be bad with a 20/5/5 statline on good efficiency?

Well, for how much he gets paid and how little impact (you can even argue negative) he has he's a bad player. Throughout his career, the teams he's been on have generally played better when he isn't on the court. This has especially been true in the playoffs where he's just awful.
he improved a lot early on in his career but he hasn't added anything for a few years now
he's peaked as a low-tier allstar

His newest stunt: choke on the 1st FT, deliberately miss the 2nd when you're down 4 with 9 seconds left
Following up his flagrant the other night to stop the clock.
Dumbest fvck in the league.

Gotta love the unawareness of these bron stans.
No playmaking- has more than 5 ast a game as a shooting gaurd in the triangle and only 2 less a game than bron as a ball dominant point gaurd.
No range- from the regular line shoots a better percentage from three than bron in post season.
Limited size: brons last 2 chips were against 6'6 butler and 6'3 steph. Guess that means those chips were trash because they were against other superstars with limited size. I always credited bron with 2 rings for beating 16 warriors but now it's not even worth 1 because he beat a guy with even more limited size than mj. Can't have it both ways dummies.
Decent defender- has more all defensive teams and dpoys than lebron.
Reality couldn't be more further from the truth. This is literally the definition of trolling and once again good job arguing your guy out of the top 10. Holy shit you guys are dumb :facepalm
