View Full Version : How is Luka, an average athlete, a better rebounder at 20 than LeBron has ever been?

stalkerforlife
11-19-2019, 02:38 AM
LeBron has never even averaged nine rebounds in a season.

LeBron is 6'9, 260+, and the greatest athlete in NBA history.

Luka is 6'7, 230, average athletically, and is averaging 10+ rebounds at 20 years old.

How is this possible?

stalkerforlife

Luka is almost averaging 11 rebounds, actually.

Absolutely not.

If he starts team hopping with multiple established stars and chokes while being the favorite countless times, then sure, he can be your LeFam

But I don't see it.

Well, there is more rebounds to go around. No surprise that the previous 3 years was when Lebron was putting up his best rebound numbers. They'd likely have been higher if he was younger.

Luka speaks politically correct.

Everyone knows what happens when you go against Bran; the league and his handlers literally confiscate video footage and send guys like Delonte to live under a bridge

LeManufactured ain't nothing to play with.

Ask Dray.
Bran ball results in Luka Doncic
Dad Killer / 12be ball results in DeMar DeRozan

For the next 20 years, whatever Luka accomplishes will also prop lebron up and that absolutely eats you up inside.

Just like everything Kobe did only ended up bumping mj higher and higher up the list.A clone will never pass the original

If LeBron was white OP would have him as #1 all time.

If Doncic was black, OP would be calling him a ball hogging stat padder.

That's wrong you moron, they abandoned it going into the 04-05 season. Lebron was as efficient as Wizards Jordan under hand-checking.

While Bron did average 27/7/7 his 2nd season, he played 42.4 minutes a game, Luka is playing 7 less minutes per game and is averaging more points, rebounds and assists.

Luka right now is the same age as lebron in 2006 (2 months younger)

That season, LeBron led the Cavs to 50 wins, and the 2nd round, with Ilgauskus, Eric Snow, Drew Godden and Ronald Murray as his starting 5.

He averaged 31/7/7 in the RS and 31/8/6 in the PO. In an era when, I think we'd all agree, scoring was more difficult than now.

Donic is in the conversation, but let's not get ahead of ourselves just because of our personal biases.

You’re only telling half the story. You can’t compare across eras using minutes.

Look at per 100 possessions. Luka is at 31.9/11.8/9.0. Lebron at the same age was at 34.7/9.3/9.1.

And this is obviously with the tougher rules and more rigid positional layout. Luka actually has Lebron to thank for opening up the game in that respect. He’s not averaging 10+ boards a game as a second year SF in 04.

It's not "tougher rules" but I do agree with the difference in eras, Luka is doing this in the tougher Conferene, his 40-point triple-double came against the Spurs while Bron did it against a 30-win Bucks team.
The rules in place during Lebrons second season made it tougher on offensive players. This is a fact.

Conference difficulty also has no statistical significance. Lebron has better numbers against the west for his career. So does Kobe and I’m sure countless others who played in the same era.

Does conference affect wins/loses? Absolutely. But pace is all the matters when discussing numbers.

The Spurs are 5-9 and on pace to win 29 games, you glue huffing retard.

They are also 27th in the league according to SOS (a stat which you Brick turds love). You're out here acting like these are the '14 Spurs with Duncan, Kawhi, Parker, Manu, etc..

Just because he doesn't have a 44 inch vert doesn't mean he's an average athlete.

To your simple mind, being athletic = great dunker. That's not the only thing about being athletic, buddy. Being able to play 35 minutes per game at a high intensity is also being athletic.

Spurs are better than the 2005 Bucks, let's be honest here :lol . They won't win 55-60 games but they'll find a way to be at least an 8th seed by the end of the season.

Again, the Bucks won 30 games in '05. The Spurs are currently 5-9 and on pace to win 29 games. One less than the '05 Bucks. Yet, you're out here acting like the Spurs are a powerhouse team.
