Probably the best film of Spike Lee. Both Adam Driver, John David Jackson, and Topher Grace played their parts very well.

Meh movie.

Spike Lee can walk out of the theater all he wants. Green Book was vastly superior.

Spike Lee never made good films anyway. So the OP is not wrong there.

He gets overrated a lot because he is black :lol

He gets overrated a lot because he is black :lol He's one of the few US filmmakers rated properly (or even underrated). Top 100 filmmaker behind Cassavetes (whose Shadows was the pivotal influence on Lee's debut - and best film - She's Gotta Have It), Kubrick, Sturges, Lynch, Lumet, Altman, Mamet, Allen etc. Streets ahead of Tarantino, PTA, and most other US filmmakers today not named Scorsese.

Summer of Sam - Once Upon a Time in Hollywood wishes it could be this film.

Jungle Fever
Sucker Free City
Bamboozled

In that order. Heaps of good stuff.
