View Full Version : Why are Love's stats currently identical as they were in 2017?

He's past his prime - slower white guys have shorter primes.. see Bird

Essentially, Love gave up his prime to be a spot-up shooter in bron-ball

Everyone thinks he sucks after playing with Lebron, so people would view him more favorably if he stayed in Minni and dominated with 6 to 8 all-nba selections, rather then waste his prime getting rings for lebron - the rings aren't for Love - they're for Lebron

Ultimately, Love's status as a good basketball player didn't move one iota from that ring in 16', except maybe downwards

He was hurt

And Lebron still had the better cast because we see this year that Draymond infact sucks, and Love is far better...

And we already knew that Kyrie > Klay, so that series wasn't an upset . Lebron underachieved by not beating them easier

BTW, you can take off 7 ppg from Kyrie and give to love... That's how ridiculous Kyrie was

No, Bird had a shorter prime because he ruined his back paving a driveway.

I mean if you look at it simplistically I guess you could arrive at that conclusion
Curry = Lebron
Kyrie > Klay
Love > Draymond

Unfortunately, the Warriors were a much deeper team and held the NBA record for wins. So yes they were the better team. And yes Draymond was considered a top 15-20 player. He isn't a good 1st option and I think we all knew that without needing to see it. Then again I could apply that same logic to the Klay and Kyrie matchup. Seeing as Kyrie is getting exposed right now and the Warriors are clearly nothing without Klay.

Other Kevin Love finals stats:

16/11 on 38% shooting in 17 finals
19/11 on 40% shooting in 18 finals (as a 2nd option)
Nothing great..

Just face the reality on this. Lebron apart from the 11' series has won every final he was expected/favored in. And that if MJ had to face actual finals competition he would've lost just the same. He wouldn't have beat that Warriors team in 2017 and definitely wouldn't have beaten them in 2018.

Bird's decline came due to a fukked back and had nothing to do with him being white.
