The 90s was weak defensively and allowed for a lot of assists

Stockton
Jackson
Nash

all top 5 in assists

With the ease of padding assists from PnR and just kicking it out to 3pt shooters? As well as spacing/pace and alll that?

Jackson/Stockton would probably have hundreds MORE assists today. While also grabbing more rebounds

I wonder why this only happened in the weak era:

Stockton and Mark Jackson

True passing assassins :oldlol:

John Stockton would be Ricky Rubio/Rondo in todays league so not the revered superstar he was in the 90s

With literally zero perimeter defense, literally zero interior defense/rim protection, pace at an all time high since even the 80s, embarrassing statpadding playstyle being the norm, MJax would easily average like 20pts 11asts in this complex clown era.

He'd get no assists because he'd be on the bench because he can't shoot and is too slow to defend current PGs.

Luka Doncic is on pace to put up a better season than peak LeBron at 20 years old

What's this you're talking about eras?

Nash didn't average over 7 assists until 2001. If you want to make this kind of dumbass topic you should do a little research. I doubt you even know when he won his MVPs if you want to hold playing in the 90s against a player. Seriously stupid stuff here.

Mark Jackson was a decent mid-range shooter in the 90s, I think he would have been a decent 3-Point shooter in this era, he developed the 3 later in his career and became respectable from that distance, his passing ability paired with his shooting would have him starting in this league.

A PG that actually passed and ran the offence? :wtf:

FACT is Jax was a smart PG that knew how to run an offence and was surrounded by bigs that could finish.

He wasn't gonna beat you with penetration, he was simply gonna use screen and angles to get the ball in the right place at the right time, you know what PGs are supposed to do?:confusedshrug:

Imagine being 3rd all time in assists racking them up in the weak watered down 90s and then in modern era you can't even be a ball bag boy :(

Guy must have been pretty decent if he had the nba change the rules because of his play.

While this is an obvious troll thread, I will say this.

No one has averaged over 12apg in a season since 1995.

At least 1 (and up to 3) players averaged 12+ apg every season for 12 straight seasons prior to that.
