I was watching clips of the reveal and listening to people hoot and holler when they would show the specs of the truck.

While the specs were impressive I can't ever imagine driving that thing. It screams hipster and impracticality.

Honestly I'm more intrigued by Ford's Mustang Crossover, but not the car, but the potential of what Ford can do in the electric field of vehicles. They've been around for 100 years and have the infrastructure and experience to mass produce this stuff. Tesla never had that and that's where they've faltered so far.

While the design looks absurd, I think that's the point. The best selling vehicles in the US for years are F150s and the four runner ups are always trucks. The truck market is worth $100 billion annually. So Tesla has to set itself apart and be jarring to stand out.

MKBHD talked about this and I like his point about Apple. Apple does the same thing in smaller terms. Like the Air Pods. The design of them looked weird first coming out. People made fun of them. Now they're everywhere and a recognizable brand just be looking at them making more money than any other headphone/earbud on the market.
