Kyrie got his chance to shine last year in the playoffs while playing for a relatively stacked team in the Eastern Conference where "anyone can make the Finals."

He put up 20 and 4 on 35% shooting in a 5-game series loss to the Bucks.

After winning game 1, he lost 4 straight games, putting up:

shooting 25 for 83 (30% fg) scoring 9, 29, 23, and 15

That's 19 ppg on 30% fg with an OffRating of 90 :lol

You were alive and well, and on this board and watching basketball at the time. It wasn't 12 freakin years ago.

Mamba Mentality happened.

Give him prime Gasol, DPOY Artest, Nash and prime Howard and he wins 60 games.

He was imitating lebron's losses in the 2007 or 2008 playoffs, where lebron shot 35% and was similarly horrible.. and Lebron's 2011 was worse - so that's 3 series that lebron played like Kyrie

Maybe he shoulfd have quit and been swept in the 1st round for 3 years in a row like 1-9 MJ? :(

Nearly everyone loses the 8 vs 1 matchup, but not everyone shoots 35% and looks like a junior higher in a NBA playoff series - only Lebron and his fellow non-goats like Kobe, Giannis, etc

Maybe get a better seed? :lol

It's almost as if the NBA rewards teams for doing well in the regular season with seedings and whatnot :lol

...like Kyrie except for 6 more PPG, 3 more RPG, 1 more APG, etc...

He seems to forget about rebounding passing and defense because MJ had Scottie Pippen to help him with that his entire career :lol

MJ never played this bad:

Lebron's worst series

2007 ECSF vs NJN:... 24.7 on 42.3%
2007 ECF vs DET:..... 25.8 on 44.7%
2007 Finals vs SAS:.. 22.0 on 35.6%

2008 ECSF vs BOS:.... 26.7 on 35.5%

2010 ECSF vs BOS:.... 26.8 on 44.7% (quit)

2011 RD 1 vs PHI:...... 24.2 on 46.9%
2011 ECF vs CHI:....... 25.8 on 44.7%
2011 Finals vs DAL:... 17.8 on 47.8%

2013 RD 1 vs MIL:..... 24.5 on 60.7%
2013 ECSF vs CHI:.... 23.6 on 43.8%
2013 Finals vs SAS:.. 25.3 on 44.7%

2014 ECF vs IND:...... 22.8 on 55.7%

2015 ECSF vs CHI:.... 26.2 on 39.9%

2016 RD 1 vs DET:.... 22.8 on 48.7%
2016 ECSF vs ATL:... 24.3 on 50.7%

It's funny because I just took the Pippen's worst series (http://insidehoops.com/forum/showpost.php?p=13693383&postcount=216) template and barely had to change the numbers..

MJ only has 2 series that compare - 96' Finals (27.3 on 41.5%) and 97' ECF (30.2 on 38.7%)..

(the 97' ecf shouldn't count because he averaged 30, and I omitted all lebron series where he averaged 30+ regardless of efficiency)

Imagine playing 10 playoff games without Scottie Pippen and winning one of them :lol

1 for 10
