Don't see why lebrons the only guy people seem to wanna compare him to. He's better than MJ, Kobe and all those other guys too. 33 PER and he's not even legal drinking age yet. We are witnessing some GOAT shit:bowdown:

Giannis is actually ahead of Doncic in PEr so far. They both have 33.6+ which is on pace to shatter the NBA record by a comfortable distance.

I think it tells us a lot about defense in 2019-2020 if the 2 highest PER seasons ever turn out t be these 2.

Actually no it doesn't, since PER is adjusted each year so the average is always 15.

But I doubt they will end up #1 and #2 alltime anyway, lots of players have had 1 great month, that is different from being this good for the whole year.

20 year old unathletic 6-7 white boy averaging 1.5 more rebounds than Lebrons career high season. :lol

That's a fairly meaningless comparison. He's also averaging more rebounds that Jordan ever did, does that make him the GOAT ?

Unrelated to this topic, nothing to do with LeBron career comparisons, but here is a useful blog entry on what Luka Doncic has accomplished so far in the world of triple-doubles:

Jordan and kobe has nothing to prove. They already won without superteams. While lebron is still ringless so he should be compared with doncic using stats.

Not in this era he wouldn't. Jordan was playing against dominant bigs. This era doesn't have that.

Once upon a time when luka was already hailed a goat after a mavs game 4 victory over the clippers...

Luka is 6ī7 ft Lebron is 6'8 ft but Lebron outweights him by like 25 lbs.

Luka is age 21 and hasn't even hit his prime years yet. He is a better passer, ballhandler, rebounder and shooter than Lebron (kind of like what Bird also had over Lebron except for the ballhandling). Lebron is a better finisher, driver, open court player, coast to coast player, dunker and defender.

Lebron has had one of the goat longevity's at age 35 Luka at 21 i think will have a similar longevity but he is not as gifted athleticaly.

Lebron is a poor rebounder relative to his height, strength, weight and leaping ability.

Doncic hasnīt hit his prime yet (prime = ages 24-32).

Kawhi is the best player in the game and he is at his peak age 28 now but Luka at age 21 is a top 6-7 player in the game right now too.

Are you stupid? Luka is not a better passer than LeBron and Luka is a terrible shooter. Heck, dude was one of the worst 3pt shooters in the league this season, given his volume.

Luka also gets berated for his defensive capabilities but obviously there's still room for improvement

This. Both are decent shooters but not great. They seem pretty equal there. I also dont see any case for Luka as a better ball handler.

Lebron played much of his career in the SLOWEST pace era of the NBA and he still put up monster stat lines and was a DPOY level guy in his prime.

Guys who might look statistically like Lebron today are benefiting from dramatically revamped rule enforcement the last 3-4 years. They wouldnt have looked this way if they played in the late 00s and early 10s.

OP is a troll but it’s legit insulting to compare any of today’s young players to prime Lebron, when theyre all doing things at least 4-5 other guys in the league are also doing. In Brons prime, nobody dominated like he did.

One must also remember that Luka played without Kristap for almost 2 games...so it was easier for the Clippers to win. Luka has an almost Lebron-like IQ for the game at 21. Later he will imrproove that and his shooting. Though long 2s i trust more Luka cause of his form. In threes Lebron is better but Lebron has a better team so he can relax an pick up his spots. Luka with Kristap Porzingis playing together for more games might have pushed this series to 7 games. Not bad for 2 young players (one entering his pirme in Kristap and one not in his prime yet in Luka).

Luke averaged 30/10/9 on 49/35/68 shooting against LAC and took 2 games despite his 2nd option missing most of the series

If Bran doesnt beat LAC with AD there is 0 case for Bran over Luka

it also means Luka has a strong case over most prime Bran seasons
