After B2B shit games in the 1995 playoffs (game 4 in the first round and game 1 of the ECSF) MJ switched back to #23 from #45.

Why did he think that wearing his original # would make him play better?

It's like using the logic of a 10yr old that new sneakers make you run faster.

MJ won as many rings after the # switch as James did for his entire career.

Stern said they had already gone ahead with #23 for merchandising and wouldn't rig the games anymore unless he went back to that number. So MJ was trying to rebel but Stern reeled em back in.

MJ needed more help than we thought look what I found. When comparing their championship run seasons (91, 92, 93 and 96, 97, 98) Pippen did everything more, scoring aside:

^^^ if you left off the goat gap in points between 1st and 2nd option (goat carry-job), the graphic would at least convince people that the burdens were pretty equal, since the other categories like assists, steals, blocks and positional gaps in rebounds are all basically ties.

But when you include the goat gap in points, it shows that MJ tying the other categories is ridiculous... Anyone with that big a point-gap shouldn't be equal in the other categories..

Otoh, Lebron has an edge in the other categories but is basically tied in points with Wade or Kyrie (shares the scoring burden, aka not a carry-job)
