Hunting for survival is 100% fine. And hunters back then had to get within a short distance from an animal to kill it with bow and arrows/spears so that was still dangerous af.

There is no pleasing people who are against hunting except by completely banning hunting in the US.

Shooting an animal at a distance and dealing it a quick and painful death is viewed as "cowardly". Killing an animal at close range with a spear is viewed as "barbaric" and "archaic".
