Got a 23 lb turkey ready to go in the oven. Baked pumpkin and apple pies yesterday. Sides are stuffing, mashed potatoes, candied yams, green bean casserole, jellied and whole berry cranberry sauce and a salad made with shredded Brussels sprouts, apples and pomegranate. Starting things off with a Bloody Mary bar and various snacks (shrimp cocktail, cheeses, charcuterie, etc) to munch on while watching football and waiting for the turkey to get done.

I tried a NY Times recipe for French onion mac-n-cheese. It's basically the standard recipe but with Gruyere cheese and camelized onions. It was outstanding.
