What should the Knicks do?

It's obvious we will do nothing of note but lose for the rest of this season. IMO we need to make some moves to trim down the roster

Keep:

Randle (He has been terrible but perhaps surrounding him with people who can space the floor and a PG who can command an offense will bring out the best in him)
RJ
Mitchell Robinson
Dotson
Brazdeikis (he can take Portis' role)
Gibson (veteran presence who's been good in the minutes he's given)
Payton (I don't like him but he's the best we got.)
Ellington (good shooter)
Morris (nobodys gonna trade for an expiring deal and he's played well so far)
Knox (should be kept on the bench)
DSJ (he sucks but we need a backup or someone to fill in the starting role as long as payton is out)

Trade:
Frank (Once Payton is healthy. I like him but it's time. He's been getting more opportunities lately but he's not gonna grow in Fizdale's "system" if you can even call it that)
Portis
Trier
Bullock

Do Not Trade Frank. He is literally the only guy on the team that is capable of making a difference. I know it's few and far between his 'good' offensive games but he's so damn young. He needs some coaching, and he needs better players around him that he can learn from. There are selfish dudes on this team that are only auditioning for their next contract. It is most definitely a culture problem. I think Brunson is decent too but c'mon he's a 2nd round pick, his ceiling is not high.

Obviously I would keep RJ as well. I would trade Knox if they could get a pick for him but he was a damn lottery pick and he won't even get you back a 1st round. Mitchell Robinson needs coaching as well, this idiot jumps for everything.

Nobody is doing anything in Fizdale's system. OK maybe on certain nights Morris comes alive. But everyone is worse playing for the Knicks. Some of it is being on the Knicks, some of it is being coached by Fiz, a lot of is because of the culture and throwing misfits together.

Look man you're not gonna get much for Frank. So it ain't worth trading him. I'm not delusional thinking he will blossom into a star, but I ain't selling low on a lottery pick that still shows promise on certain nights.

Everyone else including Knox can get the rip. Knox defense sucks. Trier defense sucks. Dotson is pretty decent and should be considered to stay but he's not as young.

temporary solution is you just gotta tank and develop players. give minutes to players with potential and that'll accomplish both goals.

I don't think you guys are watching the knicks games if you're saying keep Randle, Trier and Ellington.

Randle is a good player when he's not turning the ball over and taking ridiculous three point attempts. He's trying to be something he's not to play hero ball. It's not working and it won't work.

Trier has good offense but he's arguably the worst defense on the team and he will not succeed. Coming off the bench he's getting lit up by his opponents.

Ellington can shoot but he isn't productive. He'll hit one or two threes and shit the rest of the game up.

Knox has terrible defense but has improved his shooting. If he can't work on his defense which I'm sure he can he's young, he needs to go.

RJ scares me. As much as I want to hype him up he sucks at the line and will cost us games because of it.

Mitch needs to work on his fouling problems.

Taj is a great piece for a contender and is great for coaching our young guys. Best vet we've had in a long time.

Dotson is what, 26? I don't see much improving from him but he's the only one outside of RJ-Mitch-Frank that I would keep. He hustlers and grinds.

Frank has worked on his offense and he's confident now. He'll take shot attempts make or miss. His defense is tier 1. We cannot move him.

Morris is great but he's the ideal candidate for a trade package and his value is the highest it will be. Make the move and do it eyes closed.

DSJR can't shoot for shit. He's good for taking the ball up in transition and that's about it. Trade.

This team was poorly built. Make the moves now and tear the entire building down leaving the foundation and try again.

Fiz has terrible rotations. I've seen enough of him leaving Randle in and starting Randle when he is the worst player on the Knicks for 80% of the time.

Portis also needs to go. I don't have any hope on him. He had one revenge/breakout game and he went MIA.
