Setting pretty at 13-4. Is Kawhi the only superstar who leaves teams better?

went 17-5 without kawhi last year too. and it's the same exact thing this year...

...siakam is AGAIN taking advantage of those additional touches absolutely balling. except now vanvleet is taking over flawlessly with lowry out turning into an allstar guard himself. it's beautiful

The reason why the Raps aren't seeing any dropoff is because Leonard's type of production isn't that hard to replace. Lots of guys can score if you give them the extra shot attempts. Athletic 6'6" to 6'9" defenders who can switch on 2 to 4s aren't that difficult to find. Also doesn't hurt that they were already a 58W team before Kawhi was traded for DeRozan.

Give credit where it's due, Van Fleet and Siakam are having career years and could both finish in the top 3 for MIP. Their growth wouldn't have been possible without DeRozan and Leonard's departure.

No need to discredit Kawhi. The team is great with or without him and they're a very likable team with all likable individuals. They're fan favorites to win if they make it that far.

Nope. His teammate PG has similar credentials. When the Pacers replaced him with Oladipo, they won 6 extra games.
