Should have went for Carmelo Anthony.

You might as well call Tracy Mcgrady, seeing defences inexistant in NBA nowadays I bet he helps too.

An old dude who can score is not what the Hawks need

Collins is banned or suspended? Who did they draft this year? Duke's 3rd option? Meh

DeAndre Hunter
How does he look? Is he developing? I know he was important in the Virginia redemption run but who does he play like in the league?

He's had a rough last 3-4 games but was starting to really come on before that. He had 27 and then 26 a few days later.

He was drafted with a floor of very good 3 and D player but has already shown a solid ability to create his own shot as well as putting the ball on the floor and finishing.

If he continues to progress I could see his ceiling as a Jimmy Butler type guy. Though obviously Hunter is a few inches taller, and he's slightly less athletic.

If he could ever become a Jimmy Butler type player that would amazing. Jimmy is an impact and winning player. They need more defense, giving up 150+ is inexcusable.

I'm pretty lukewarm on the Hawks moves the last couple years. There's only so many rookies you can legitimately develop at a time. However, I guess one more high pick won't hurt since they may as well give up on Reddish. Yeeech what a bad pick.

Luka is massively overachieving right now. KP is absolute garbage and the rest are role players

Luka would average about 12 assists per game if KP wasn't shooting below 40%

What good is a guy over 7 feet who shoots below 40%?

He has about two months left to show he can play again at a high level or he's permanent damaged goods

Ya. With ACL's, NBA players should always get a 1 year mulligan. Doesn't mean players don't come back sooner and just as good but the first year back from an ACL shouldn't 100% be used to say he is damaged goods.

Hunter
Collins
C/PF - they need to get a nice draft or FA pickup to complement Collins.

Bembry is a solid bench piece and Cam Reddish was drafted to be an impact player.
Imagine how much better this team would be with one Luka Doncic though. They could have drafted so much better than what they did with him in the fold. But, they wanted to appeal to their fan demo instead of the better basketball future...and not to knock on Young, he is a really good player.

To be fair, he's not shot well for a big-man to begin with because he doesn't play like a traditional big-man. In his best season he shot 44% from the field and 45% in his best season as far as efficiency.. Before playing this season he hadn't played competitive basketball since February of 2018 until this season. Which is what? 18 months? You have to give him time to adjust to his body and get back in rhythm. No doubt, I agree he's not efficient, but you have to give him time.
