I dont know .ad and LeBron are doing a pretty good job without him . I don't know why u wouldn't consider them title contenders

Agreed, we really need a reliable 3rd option who can knock down 3s, so far we don't really have one but Kuz has been clutch in some of these games.

73 game win pace.
I'd give the kid some more time to adjust. But if the Lakers did decide to move him, what would be a good third option to AD & Lebron that they could get?
If the Lakers are committed to him, it doesn't matter what his stock is to other teams.

Kuzma is not a good bench player. He can and usually does play off ball but he needs his touches to be effective. Trying to make him a scoring spark with 3-4 times 4-5 minutes will not work. As a starter he is capable of scoring 20 a game in this era, easily. In this reduced role I'm not sure he will prove to be effective.

of course they're contenders.
but without a legit 3rd option, they're most likely not winning

true
this will hurt them in the long run
they might learn too late they need Kuz playing minutes and being engaged

Kuzma is still a solid player, I wouldn't worry about him at this point.
Honestly the way the Lakers beat the Clips is if AD/Lebron vastly outplay Kawhi/PG.
The Clippers 3-10 is definitely better than the Lakers 3-10.

It’s crazy that the guy they should of kept was Ingram and the Pelicans would of gladly taken Kuzma instead
Thing is that Ingram would be a third option on the Lakers, and it looks like he does better when he's the primary scorer and gets to handle the ball a lot.

For sure.
If we got LeBron/AD = KL/PG
Harrell > Kuzma
Lou > Bradley
Shamet = Green
Beverley = KCP
Zubac = Howard
McGee > Green(Jamychal)
And everything after with Rondo/Caruso/Cook/Daniels is a wash with Harkless/Patterson/McGruder.
The big difference is that LAC has 4 all-star level players. Lakers have 3 but one isn't at said form and not ideally suitable to the team (Kuzma) and a detriment in Rondo who can reduce their ceiling when on court.
Lakers need to hope Howard will average 10/8, make his FT's and be a presence defensively, Bradley averages 12 ppg and limits Lou/Beverley, and Kuzma averages 20 along with AD/LeBron's 25+.
If that happens, they got a good shot. But Kuzma is far away from that right now.

Green is definitely better than Shamet and has actually proven shit in the most important games of the year.
In no way can you argue that those two have equal value going into a playoff series.

Kuzma is fine. He just had a superb game two days ago against the Mavs. We need a player like him who isn't afraid of taking and making big shots.
Remember, he missed all of preseason. He's adapting to a new role. Give him at least until the trade deadline starts approaching before saying he needs to go. Especially when he hasn't even been bad, he's hit plenty of timely 3s already this season. I'm confident he will continue to improve.

Green is no longer the 3-point shooter he was 2012-2014, right now they're similar 3-point shooters but I fear Danny could go through another '16-'18 phase.
and he has wet the bed enough since then in the playoffs...
Shamet has only played one playoff series.

Green is also a really good defender. He knows what it takes to win. He's also shooting quite well on 3's so far this year last time I checked his numbers.
The bold is part of the point, he's unproven. You really think the Lakers would trade Danny Green for Shamet?

No I don't, but I'm not certain enough in Green's superiority to give him a ">" over a "=", I guess.
You could well be right.

Green is obviously superior to Shamet, but Beverley is also far superior to KCP.

Meh.
I like KCP.
He's a streaky gunner. He'll be good IMO.
Bev's value pretty much solely lies on defense.
Other than that he needs to red line to be a factor offensively (three's).
But yes, Bev is more reliable to what he will give you every night.

I understand Green is inconsistent, but he's clearly a better defender...and that really matters.
And, if we are going off of this year...he's shooting better than Shamet from 3.

Not using him at all? That's a stretch. He missed the first few games of the season and has had a couple minor injuries lately. So he hasn't had a chance to get into a consistent rhythm. He's come up big in a few games and if it wasn't for him, the lakers would of lost. ie. Just 2 games ago against the Pelicans.
He's fitting into his role on the team just fine by cutting off ball, spotting up for 3's and coming off pin downs for open looks. He needs to continue to work on his defense if he wants to be a consistent 3rd option in the 4th quarter. Especially in the playoffs.
How should the Lakers be "using" him OP?

They're not using him strategically wrong in game, although I'd like to see him be able to have slightly more freedom with the ball in his hands; he just needs more minutes and shots...
they need Kuzma to be in form and on his game in the playoffs, preferably starting.

So who exactly is gonna be their scorer off the bench if Kuzma starts?
