Some rule changes, to make it more defensive. And harder to score. Its really laughable seeing all this scorelines, and 14 players above 25 ppg making it look like they are Michael Jordan.

Harden just tied Jordan for number of 60 point games (four) in the regular season, but over several hundred less games.

Harden: 783 games, 570 started
Jordan: 1072 games, 1039 started

However, I don't know when Jordan's last 60 point game was, so that might be closer to Harden's number of games.

Imagine the studs of today with a shortened 3pt line, spacing enforced illegal defense and checked by Hornacek's/Ehlo's nightly

Yes, it is super easy to score overall right now.

However, season is young...lets see if a guy like Wiggins, for example, ends the season scoring like this.

Rules changes or not...it isn't stopping a guy like Harden from going off.

I know I'm in the minority a bit, but I'm not even exactly sure on what the issue is. It was obvious to see the changes from 04 to 05, for example...

But now, kind of just seems like everyone finally realized a 3 point shot is actually worth 3 points...and have decided to speed up the pace.

Refs can dictate whether games go physical or not, they should start calling less fouls.Allow more contact by defenders. Its laughable at this point.

Oh, I agree...

I'm just saying that won't have as large of an impact as some think imo. The 3 point shot is just changing everything.

I was slow to it about a decade ago...thought missed shots had more of a negative value than they did...

Just a powerful weapon that was severely underutilized based on how many players can make them consistently.

Again, Kobe shot more free throws than Harden just did when he scored 62 against the Mavs in 06.

The difference in terms of efficiency is that Harden can wet stepback 3's at a percentage and volume few players in NBA history can, if any can...I'm just not sure how to guard that unless you double when he gets going.

I been hating on Doncic here more than Harden. Both unlikeable players, annoying and everything wrong in this era.

Antoine Walker being in there is hilarious.

97 and 98 were the all time gutter years for NBA talent though.

Two dudes in their mid 30s were dominating the league with no challengers in sight.

Malone never sniffed an MVP before his 32nd birthday, after that all the Dream Team era superstars were either retired, old or injured and there was no one to replace them until c.2000.
