LeBron is putting up better numbers than Prime Duncan in his 17th season. Even though we lost to the Mavs we still have the best record in the league.

AD, Dwight, Javale, Caruso and Danny Green are all better defenders than Bran
nothing will change Duncan 11-5 in playoffs against Bran. a sweep, a historic beatdown of a 5 game series and another near win in 6 if Pop wasnt a faq and benched Duncan

Well stats are a lityle inflated lately but even with that lebrons numbers rould be better than duncans i guess. Its kind of a unfair comparison though because they play different positions and different styles. Bron plays a ball dominant style similar to harden, luka and okc westbrook so his numbers are always gonna be nuts. Duncan as center played in pops system which emphasis ball movement so he was never gonna be able to have the stats of any of the players i mentioned.
He got alot of wins though and thats the more important thing. If bron played with pop his hole career hed have lesser stats but more rings too.

In order to join our prestigeous Bran stain fameelya, you must meet ALL of the following criteria:
-Be straight up shameless, no standards whatsoever.
-Have absolutely zero competitive integrity, always search for the cheap way out.
-Be comfortable with teamhopping.
-Be comfortable with backstabbing your teammates and then calling them "my guys" straight to their face.
-Running away when the going gets tough is the foundation of our core values.

Like I can understand team hopping if you're not a big NBA fan, I don't hold anything against casuals.
But to be a guy who loves watching NBA, openly team hopping...and then referring to the team you JUST hopped onto as "we"? AFTER talking shit about the Lakers for years and years?
Lebron23, you should just leave again bro lol.

I've been visiting this forum for over a decade, and I can confidently say LeBron23 is the only poster I genuinely am concerned for. You're just such a weird dude. You capitalize oddly, your grammar is always so bizarre, and you say outlandish things.

Lebron gets owned by Tim Duncan all the time. Duncan destroys Lebron even when Lebron has stacked teams and Duncan has average teams.

Due to Tim Duncan's knee injury in his third season, he had been running on a single functional knee the latter half of his career. Poppovich controlled his minutes to maximize his output but minimize the wear and tear, starting in 2007 or so.
That a one-legged gimp beat prime LBJ twice in the Finals, and came closer to winning another title than any other team ever did in the history of the NBA speaks volumes. :oldlol:
While it is trivial and obvious that James has had a better career, cumulatively speaking, Tim Duncan remains the greater player for the following reasons:
his teams always won 50 games, and always qualified for the playoffs.
LBJ? sorry.
Duncan's leadership and intangibles helped his teammates exceed their natural ceiling. LBJ? can't say the same for someone who needed superteams to win a title.

Do you honestly think LeBron “needs” superteams to win?
If so you’re just lying to yourself.

Uhhhh...absolutely he did, considering he never won without a super team. Look at your profile picture.
This isn't a shot at LeBron...it's literal fact. It's also a fact that every all time great needed at least 1 other superstar on his team to win.
Who cares. Stop defending so much, he's not your dad bro lol.

The absolute greatest ever manage to pull off carry jobs by winning a title with average to below average players like Hakeem did in 1994. He had who? Thorpe? Kenny Smith? Exactly.
Barry in 1975.
Duncan in 2003.
Nowitzki in 2011.
Leonard this past Finals.
If LBJ is that great he should've pulled it off a couple of times, at least in 2009 or 2010 when he had a solid if unspectacular roster either season.

Tim Duncan humiliated Bran in the finals multiple times and won 5 titles coming out the blood bath called the west. Bran only has a measley 3 coming out of the weak east with some of the most stacked teams in nba history

Someone not having done something does not mean they are incapable of it :facepalm
LeBron likely wins the 2015 finals if Kyrie stays healthy. Not sure how LeBron, Kyrie and role players are a “superteam”. In 2013, Wade averaged like 16 PPG in the playoffs and Bosh averaged less than 13. In the 2016 finals, Love got hurt and didn’t even average 10 PPG.
Think critically.

Not sure what Kawhi is doing there. That Raptors team was great. Look at how good they’re doing even with an injured Lowry and a now washed up Gasol.
Lol at insinuating Dirk is better than LeBron.

How did he surpass him when Duncan has more titles and beat Lebron more in head to head matches? If Lebron won more head to head matches or had more titles than he would have a case.

You guys all watched Duncan, was there ever a time when you thought he was the best player in the league? I never did. From '97-'98 it was MJ, '99-'04 it was Shaq, '05-'10 it was Kobe, '11-'16 LeBron.
LeBron was/is better than Duncan. From 2011-2016 LeBron was clearly the best player in the NBA. Despite all of his accomplishments, there was never a time I thought Duncan was the best player in the league.
On a side note, in the NBA Finals game between the Heat and Spurs where Ray Allen hit that amazing three from the corner, why was Duncan on the bench? He may (or may not) have grabbed that rebound...game over. What was Pop thinking?

So the Spurs opted for smaller mobile defenders to defend against Miami's shooters.

Well, I'm not pretending to know more than Pop, but I'd have had my best rebounder in the game for obvious reasons.

What's the obvious reason? You wanted to leave someone wide open for three? You valued the rebound of a miss that may never come over defending the three point line with a three point lead?

Was Boris Diaw some great three-point line defender?
When LeBron missed the three San Antonio had absolutely no one underneath to grab the rebound. I'd rather have 15x All-NBA Defensive Team Tim Duncan and his rebounding in the game over Boris Diaw.
