Would this simple idea speed the game up and make it more entertaining?

Instead of watching teams turn the ball over after a shot clock violation and stop the flow of the game, what if the NBA implemented a Countdown Sound Effect when the shot clock reaches the 5 second mark? The players can rely on the sound effect to alert them to shoot, rather than make a pass or force up and errant shot. The crowd would get involved and count down the clock themselves like they do at college games.

They should do it like Fortnite where, as the shot clock counts down, the backcourt line moves closer to the basket, shrinking the halfcourt. This would allow the defense to defend a smaller area later in the shot clock and encourage the offense to take shots earlier before they get too cramped.

They should also pause every shot midshot and have Regis Philbin ask the player personally 'Is that your final answer?' and then allow him to proceed with the shot.
