CLEARLY Jordan would get absolutely EXPOSED with the above complex defensive scheme. The way the defenders are ready in their zones to collapse on King James the moment he drives, if Jordan so much as just LOOKED at that he wouldn't know WHAT to do.

Free straight drive layup lines to the rim.

WIDE OPEN paints and never before seen offensive spacing due to banned perimeter defensive rules.

HOW would Jordan survive in this era?

Looks like they are in a man to man defense to me. :confusedshrug:

no one plays zone in the nba. not that they can for more than 2 seconds anyway. :confusedshrug:

This season, the Wizards have placed trust in the zone, in which defenders are assigned an area to cover instead of a player. Although zone defense is rare in the NBA because the defensive three-second rule dissuades big men from camping in the paint, the Wizards have used it 12.5 percent of the time under new defensive coordinator Michael Longabardi, according to Synergy Sports.

That is by far the most in the league, with the Toronto Raptors and Golden State Warriors at 4.5 percent and 4.3 percent, respectively. In contrast, the Los Angeles Lakers have faced zone defenses more than any team: 4.6 percent of the time.

So why has Washington counted on a scheme that other NBA teams merely sprinkle into defenses? The zone has been effective.

wizards run 'zone' by far the most of any team in the nba.

they are ranked dead last in defense rating and are giving up 122.4 ppg, also dead last.

Jordan couldn't shoot threes so he would've been given a nice little Rondo-esque cushion there:lol

Brook Lopez couldn't shoot 3s either. Now he chucks 6 a game.

Interesting what practising the current meta of the era can do for someone, eh?

Look forward to your troll response.

Westbrook averaged a 31.6 point triple double shooting 34.6% from three.

I'm sure Michael Jordan could manage that in today's game.

it depends on what you're asking

if you're referring to defending against one player or trying to prevent one player from getting the ball in their hands, then it would probably be a defense that brings hard double and triple teams and hard contact, such as the Bad Boys Pistons defense that garnered two championships, or maybe even a defense that brings hard contact, like the KNicks No-Layup defense that immediately followed it

but in terms of defending against the whole team offense, it would have to be the 2-3 zone
