It was the 90s so...
-10.7 ppg Finals #2 options
-30 win teams make the playoffs (30-52)
-WNBA 3 pt line moved closer
-Illegal zone defense
-expansion era
-no perimeter defense
-three 1st round sweeps w/o Pip (1-9)
-auto mechanics made all stars (Jazz)
-grocery baggers started (Pacers)
Anything goes then :confusedshrug:

3ball told me this guy was awful. And he made an all-star team in his 3rd year?
At least it was better than the year before where they let a certified auto technician make the all-star team (https://kronozio.blob.core.windows.net/images/card/10bd881f757446bda25b9db2eb1f6b3b_front.jpg).

Lebron simply avoided the career-losing fate of other ball-dominators by colluding for the extra talent this style needs to win
Ultimately, his style is suboptimal - he starts at SF but then shares PG duties with the PG - this creates a 2 point guard lineup that gives teammates less hold-time and assists than they get in 1-PG lineups, thus causing low TEAM assists and a brand that struggles on the championship level, aka 3/9... this suboptimal style results from a SKILL DEFICIT where he can't get elite stats off-ball.
Something something...MJ...something something...89 Pippen

Yet a scrawny AMERICAN white (genetically inferior to Luka) was destroying MJ. Your sorry joke of a GOAT.

Kevin McHale could just as easily have been the last All-Star on that East squad. Even some ardent Chicagoans know this and will probably discuss this with you in a sports bar to this day. There's no doubt that the heavy Chicago voting and Bulls favor due to the considerable television coverage the Bulls were now getting play into this as well.
Third year Pippen had made great strides, but the guy had started out as a raw, lanky athlete, so he still had a long ways to go in refining his skills, unlike a McHale who had finished crafting most of his skills.
