He was awful in Memphis. He hated Marc Gasol because he went around the locker room and asked each player if they thought he could lead them to a title as their coach and Marc told him (quite honestly) "No."

That team was on autopilot for years. They did the same thing with Joerger. He tried to switch things up on them and they said 'nah, this is how we play best'. Joerger listened. Fizdale tried to make it into a pissing contest between himself and the players with his "This is how we do things in Miami" bullshit.

He's a phony person and in way over his head. Hopefully he can regain success again as an assistant or something, but he's not a head coach.

At least Joerger made them into a modern team by moving Randolph to the bench.
