LeBron is fairly clearly the main piece both by eye test and stats. Davis is clearly the defensive anchor and LeBron is clearly the guy that makes the offense go. Both are critical to the Lakers success.

At some point Davis should clearly surpass LeBron. That's its close right now is testament to LeBron's greatness. We're talking about old man LeBron still making more impact than prime Davis. LeBron's entire draft class is out of the NBA, with just two exceptions who are bench players, one on a minimum contract who struggled to find a team desperate enough to give him a shot.

As a Laker fan, OP should be thrilled that LeBron is there playing elite ball as an old man, but poor OP is so hateful about LeBron having left OP's idol in the dust many years ago that he can't enjoy his team having great success.

The truth is OP isn't a real Laker fan which is ironic since he wants to say that the LeBron fans don't get to be a part of the Lakers winning. Only the LeBron fans enjoy the winning more than he does, and won't be conflicted if the Lakers win a title. OP will be shook because it will be yet another nail in the coffin of Kobe's legacy. So he can't really appreciate the team he supposedly likes winning.

Lebron has been great, but his scoring has got a little worse terms of efficiency and the defense hasn't been that great lately, he's been turning the ball over a bit more as well. Davis can keep his level of production up and his numbers will probably increase as the season goes on while Lebron's likely won't. People make a big deal out of Lebron's assist numbers but he should be getting 1-2 more per game than the previous two seasons with the weapons he has. Davis, Howard and McGee give him so many lob opportunities.

AD impacts the offense more than the numbers with him being the threat he is inside and in the post, as well as being able to stretch the floor as a big man, he's one of our better 3-Point shooters and he's shooting 86% at the line, there really is no weakness to his game. Lebron had great impact early because we were missing Kuzma and Rondo, so he was forced to do more with the 2nd unit, but we should be seeing him play a minute or two less than he has so far for the season if everyone's healthy and we continue to blow out the bad teams.

It's obvious right, he's already a top 5 PF all-time just in terms of peak play, but was stuck on bad teams like KG was early in his career. At least Davis got out of his situation at or before his peak so he could still end up winning a bunch of titles.
