I cant help but feel come play off time Doncic is going to be unable to do it alone and is going to need another star alongside of him

I know people want it to be Porzingas but he just cant score at a high enough clip. Porzingas is a nice Chris Bosh, Doncic is a nice LeBron James. They need a nice Dwayne Wade.

They could be a good option for Kevin Love but I feel they would need someone at that SF spot. A big offer for Gallinari might be ideal

Any thoughts on if they need someone and if so who?

Bosh is more aggresive and a much better scorer than Porzingis will ever be. He never complained about being the first option like Porzingis did in New York and Bosh led his team to the playoffs.

Someone like Otto Porter would be really nice.

To win a title, absolutely.

Hell, give him prime Terry and those boys and he probably wins a title this year.

At the least they need another ball handler. Doncic has to do too much right now.

Not really. Porzingis and Doncic will both get better with time as they older and they have a top 5 bench in the league.

If you put Brogdon on this team...I think they'd have enough to contend...potentially even this year if KP finds his way to improving over the course of the year.

I definitely don't think they need a star, but another guy that could handle the ball would be nice.

A guy like ROCO would be great as well...which isn't saying much as he'd help nearly every elite team because of his defense/shooting.

Porzingis will be better as the year goes on.

He and Luka are perfectly fine to build around. As long as they build chemistry, then just need a solid team of role players around them that fit the modern NBA to win a championship.

Porzingis is much better offensively than what he has shown. He is just bricking.

They need toughness more than scoring really. I think Luka can in fact carry them offensively.

What they can't do is get exposed like against Clips.

They need interior toughness bad.

Even though I love what he's doing in Miami, I'd also love to see Jimmy Butler on Dallas. Dude doesn't care about getting the ball as long as whoever gets it is doing work. Easy leap to true contender team if you add him. Plus maybe he'd tell Luka to cut out the whiny bitch act that no one as good as he is should have.

I don't think it would necessarily take someone of Butler's caliber (top 12-15) to get it done, though. He just has the best mix of the qualities such a player would need.

Otto Porter's way too much of an injury wildcard these days. And I believe I've read he has chronic hip or leg problems, so his injury-proneness probably won't change.

Or kelly oubre type of guy. Brady beal also.

Beal would have diminishing returns in my opinion.

This team needs more defense around Luka...not offense.

That is why Brogdon is the guy that Mavs fans wanted so much...he's good defensively, can handle the ball, and can shoot.

If it is about a title...this team has to find a way to get the defense into the top 10...a guy like Beal...who isn't realistic anyway...isn't doing that...even if the offense would be even better with him.

draymond is the hypothetical dream. I would consider signing millsap in the offseason. there's a decent chance denver moves on to playing grant at 4.

It would depend on the price for Dray. His lack of shooting would be a problem for the Mavs...and I'd be concerned with how he would age.

I'd rather get a guy like Covington and double/risk it with Davis/Jokic in a playoff series.
