If AD hits the go ahead game winner without lebron even being involved in the play and doing next to nothing in the final 4 minute (typical championship scenario involving lebron) rest assured the FMVP will still go to lebron.

I have to point out that Kobe averaged 6.1 apg 7.3 rpg but that doesn't change the fact that a 22 y.o Kobe, in a much tougher defensive era, put up better averages than peak Lebron and KD.

If the Lakers win the chip, it will be much more due to lebron than AD. LeBron is the best, most impactful and most important player on the team.

Having said that, I can see a finals series in which lebron averages 25/8/12 and AD averages 30+ ppg, with a couple of 40 point nights. If AD wins FMVP in that scenario, that's fair enough and it should be applauded by everyone. But it wouldn't change the fact that LeBron is the real MVP, who put the ball in AD's hands in the right place for him to score 7 or 8 times per game. It's not some Shaq-Kobe scenario where Kobe scores 25 on 25 shots and Shaq scores 40, with half a dozen kobe put backs.

Offensively, LeBron and AD is Stockton and Malone 2.0, with a better Stockton and a worse Malone.
