I would never be able to play for a woman. I just couldn't take her seriously. A woman just has no business coaching grown men in any kind of professional sport.

It's just the way it is, Captain Saveaho. Women belong in womens sports, men belong in mens sports. It's like we can't have anything anymore without these broads trying to to butt their way in and ruin it.

She's in a good situation right now. I wouldn't take the New York job just to be the first female head coach in NBA history. It's literally the worse job in the NBA right now. Could you imagine if she did take it and somehow New York became at least competitive? Hell, even .500 ball would be a miracle.

Not even Pop could make this Knicks team competitive.

It'd be extremely tempting to become the first female coach in league history, in the biggest market in the country to boot. But the roster/organization is the absolute worst in the league, and she could potentially do permanent damage to future female coaching prospects if she takes over and fails miserably. Which, lets be real, is an unavoidable outcome coaching the Knicks

Meh she doesn't move the needle. Listen no coach moves the needle, they have fking Julius Randle and Marcus Morris. Selfish ass players with no care in the world for helping the team improve.

The day the team walks in on her getting throatfu@ked by a bench player, is the day her tenure is up. And something tells me that will happen.
But as far as making it happen, you know the USA media will try to tell the people this is the best thing ever, and that everything that wrong with the game of basketball is because of all the straight males who coach it, this will be epic to see the talking heads espouse complete bullshit in the name of gender diversity.
Becky should think twice about taking this Knicks job, it would at best be exactly like SouBeachTalents said.

If you're a woman, now's the time to get all the high paying status jobs. Employers would be scared to fire her if she was bad.
And honestly, if there were any woman who could decently coach men, it would be Becky. She's got Pop pedigree, was a really good WNBA player, is a lesbian and she's older.

On the other hand, there are literally zero expectations. Plenty of other coaches have failed to win with the Knicks, so it's not as if it's some horrible black mark on your resume.
Also, let's be real. It's pretty unlikely that a super-successful organization is going to attempt this kind of social experiment. It's likely going to be a struggling franchise looking for something outside-the-box.
That said, if Pop has her tabbed as his successor, that might be a better situation. (Although way more pressure following a hall-of-famer.)

The problem isn't that she's a woman. This is a multimillion dollar opportunity for these players, who is dumb enough to screw up an NBA job over something so trivial?
The problem is that it's the Knicks.

Nah. Failure is inevitable so long as Dolan owns the team, but nobody blames the head coach unless there's obvious incompetence. Fiz just got fired, but did anyone say he was a bad coach and deserved to be let go?
