Unfortunately for Giannis he has to go up the biggest ball hog in NBA history with Harden, but he has a good chance to accomplish the rest this season. Per 36, though, he's averaging more than MJ ever did. Giannis is averaging an absurd 30.8 ppg in just 31.4mpg. Per 36 that's 35.3. If you go per 36 Harden is at 36.8 so he's not even actually scoring that much more in mpg than Giannis. The Greek Freak has also been the best defensive player in the league this season so far. He has the bucks at 1st in defense with a 101.6 while he has a league best 95 drating. He's on his way to having one of the 5 greatest seasons in NBA history.

With the ridiculous spike in pace and rules benefiting perimeter players, I like using per 100 possessions better. It doesn’t account for the rules but it does account for pace.

Imagine the rates at which prime MJ, LeBron, Shaq, Wade, Kobe, T-Mac, and others would score at today

True enough, but Giannis is also the best defensive player in the league. None of those you named can say that.

Who else was gonna win any of those awards in the 90s? Clyde ****ing Drexler? The pedophile from Louisiana? That fat guy from TNT? Or maybe the guy who discovered basketball by reading a pamphlet on a transatlantic flight? Which one of these scrubs was gonna step up to the plate to provide some competition, numbnuts?

LeBron was a monster defender at one point

He was pretty good, but not anywhere as good as Giannis has been this season.
