View Full Version : Have we ever seen a stronger system than Bron-Ball?

Bron ball has led players with little to no playoff experience into the Finals and beyond

Combined playoff series wins before LeBron: 1

Kyrie
Love
Bosh
Davis

All four of these players combined have 1 playoff series win before using Bron Ball.

Will it work again this year with Davis?

again...this isn't bran ball.. AD's getting 90% of his points in isolation

he's the team leader in nearly every category

bran ball is when you hog all the stats for yourself and turn guys like davis into spot up 3 point stretch 4's

lebrons taking a step back and letting AD take over

he finally figured it out

:oldlol:

points - anthony davis
rebounds - anthony davis
blocks - anthony davis
steals - anthony davis
PER - anthony davis
TS% - anthony davis
win shares - anthony davis
defensive rating - anthony davis
free throw% - anthony davis
Why are you lying I just checked over 60% percent of ADs points are assisted aka spoonfed :lol

i gotta finally give it up to lebron

LeBron's stats before and with AD

2019: 27.4 on 51% (without AD)
2020: 26 on 50% (with AD)

1.4 ppg less is "taking a step back"? :lol

In reality, only 9.8% of Davis' shots have come from isolation.

In reality, only 10.4% of Davis' shots have come from spotting up. Only 33 players in the NBA rank lower.

Liar. He was giving them offensive rebounds via missed shots and thus spoon feeding their points AND rebounds.

Anthony Davis isolates 2.4 times a game.

in the triangle the ball doesn't stick. theres usually 3-4 passes before a shot. kobe would start with the ball and draw the initial defender. they wouldn't do a 1 pass and shoot style like lebrons teams... it would keep moving and swinging till they got the best look that was either an open jumper or layup

nearly all of gasol/fisher/odoms assists were in fact kobes

he had probably 15-20 hockey assists routinely

Nah bro you're only good if you have a RECORD LEADING time of possession with the ball and force every single play to go through you no matter how detrimental it may be to the team just so you can rack up empty individual stats in a team game and go 3/9 so retards can think you're the GOAT...

pace is way up... defense is way down

26ppg this year is probly like 23ppg last year

and lebrons getting mostly all his points in garbage time after the games are decided. not nearly as impressive

pick one thread to have a discussion jeff

the lakers were 4th in pace last year at 103.2, 13th at 101, a gorilla could look this up and prove you wrong.

Other forums usually have at least have a couple guys who become nba execs/analysts. This is the brilliance we have at ISH.

the lakers ran a much slower paced offense. offensive possessions were longer, the pace back then was like 90ppg.. today its 110ppg
Do you know how percentages work?

obviously more plays will be assisted when you're shooting earlier in the clock... i wouldn't be surprised if pau scored more unassisted back down post moves

But I thought 90% of Davis' points came from isolation?

Davis doesn't need Lebron to average the numbers he does, he did the same with Jrue and Rondo in NO. Lebron could rupture his achilles right now and AD's production wouldn't get any worse for it.

in 17 years and numerous super-teams, he's bound to get a few players that fit with his game

But how about the many guys that were reduced?.. Guys like Love/Bosh/Ingram/Jamison/Wade/Rose/Hughes/Crowder/Hood/etc, etc, etc

So essentially, Mo Williams and AD represent the 2 times that the broken clock was right - that's the correct way to perceive it.. (maybe throw Kyrie in there)

But keep ignoring these facts - the result will be you needing new excuses to explain his long-ass career with so few rings... True greats like MJ and Bird won rings in far less years because their games fit with any teammate or system, thus allowing higher ceilings and better teams in general.

The 2015 Cavs were the preseason and pre-playoffs favorites to win the championship before the injuries occurred

So what's the harder path:

1) Landing on teams that were favored to win the championship in year 1 of existence twice (2011 and 2015)

2) Taking numerous years to develop favorite status
