This is honestly the most up for grabs it's been in a long time. Or at least the largest pool of players in contention for that title

Yeah, or at least when Curry and Durant come back healthy. I do wander what the narrative would have been with Kawhi if Durant didn't get hurt and the Warriors won, or Lebron didn't get hurt and the Lakers got to the second round with Lebron putting up the usual playoff stats.

Just a reminder on what Giannis is doing:

33.8 PER, 95 Defensive Rating, rebounding monster, reigning MVP and averaging less than 32 minutes, leadinng the Bucks to best record in the league, without a second superstar.

I'm not sure I can put a 22.9 3P% guard on the list in all good faith. But three years ago, sure.

Kevin Durant snatched LeBron's soul in the 2017 Finals and it was a beautiful thing to see. Kevin Durant when healthy is the leagues premier player and numero uno player.

Kawhi, Durant, Curry, Giannis. They either had the best stats in the season or won finals mvp the past few years.

I'm really surprised at how little respect Giannis got in this voting. He's an absolute beast on both ends of the floor.

I know that he hasn't won a ring yet, but I still think he's the best player currently, and it's only a matter of time before that translates into playoff success.

The hole in his game is just too large. He still has the exact same weaknesses as last year. He will not be able to close a game when the pressure is at it's highest simply due to his offensive and mental blocks.

LeBron

KD if he somehow returns to 100%

Giannis & AD still need to prove themselves in the playoffs more before they can enter the convo same with Luka

He will not be able to close a game when the pressure is at it's highest simply due to his offensive and mental blocks. He's averaging more points, rebounds, and 3pt% on higher amount of attempts. If he can get to 35% on his threes, it's a wrap.
